Hi PH community, great to meet you all. Thanks so much @mwseibel and @ycombinator for the hunt. We are excited to start this journey to build Poly and enable designers to create any assets with AI in seconds. Designers often spend 100s of hours looking for the right assets or having to laboriously create them from scratch for their projects. Furthermore, generic stock assets lack originality and often come with licenses that limit their scope of use. All of these challenges result in lengthy and costly design processes that delay product launches, marketing campaigns, content refreshes, etc. We want to build a tool to enable designers create assets like 3D textures, illustrations, icons, sprites, and more with a single text prompt in seconds. Built with our own homegrown AI technology, Poly helps designers get unlimited customizable, high-res, commercially-licensed creative assets that match their color and style. Poly will also have plugins for all designers’ favorite tools (Figma, Canva, etc.) so that they can finish their entire cycle in hours instead of days. Ok. At first I though: hey, why use this instead of midjourney bot? Bot the short comparison test between Poly and Midjourney showed that the tools looks VERY promising. I'm wondering how I can use it for marketing campaigns. So I guess free stock photos might be loosing traffic over time due to Poly 🫣

We intentionally set out to design a tool that generates high quality 4K creative assets (starting with textures) that designers can immediatelyy apply to their actual workflows vs. creative art (from Dall-e or Midjourney) that might be more fun than useful.
