Reflective lets business users build their own workflow software. Our key insight: full automation vs. manual work is a false dichotomy. We let you automate without losing the human touch. 👩🏻 + 🤖 The Problem This need was born out of our team's collective experience plus interviews with 50+ businesses. We consistently found that the biggest bottleneck in a business is a repetitive, manual workflow. These workflows aren't automated because: 1) Complexity: The business logic is too complex to turn into an algorithm 2) Control: The user wants control given the critical nature of the operation 3) Expense: The layers of coordination needed to develop internal tools drives huge costs in time and money Project management apps like Asana & Trello can help track progress on these workflows but aren't where work actually gets done. And traditional automation technologies like iPaaS & RPA are not well suited to these workflows because they were designed for machines, not humans. Our Solution Counter-intuitively, Reflective is an automation platform that embraces manual work. We call it "human touch" because we aim to distill a person's complex decision making process down to a single click. Simply decide, and the actions are carried out for you. Like other integration platforms (Zapier, IFTTT), Reflective lets you work seamlessly across hundreds of applications. @julianpaul Hi Julian - Imagine you want to load pre-qualified sales leads into Salesforce. There's a bunch of data entry that can be automated but the pre-qualification is tricky and requires a human to make the call. Often in these scenarios people fall back to just manually filtering and entering the data themselves. But with Reflective you can use a decision "Approve" or "Reject" to fire (or not fire) the Salesforce automation. There's a lot of scenarios like this where most of the workflow could be automated except for a few critical pieces where human touch is necessary.

@pejmanjohn That makes a lot of sense. So the communication is very use-case specific and not generally true for automations? I guess that just got me a bit confused. But I think it's a great insight that will definitely connect with your core audience. Did you stumble across this insight via previous work? Or customer discovery? (Good luck with this product!)

The UI looks really clean and seems to be really intuitive. The workflow shown in the video was a great demo, and I'd love to see uses with critical tools such as Slack, Google Sheets, etc. When it comes to keeping Reflective as a no code tool, do you think there are other valuable assets you could add that a non-programmer would not be initially capable of? Automatically running formula outside the scope of Sheets, automated social media posts for branding, finding and deciding the optimal meeting time for a business... I definitely think Reflective could become impactful pretty quickly

@matthew_giglio thanks for the thoughtful comment! one way we've been thinking about the types of action items we want to support is across three major buckets: 1) sources of truth, 2) communications, 3) cognitive services. So 1) would be Google Sheets, Salesforce, etc. 2) would be Email and Slack. The 3) we haven't launched yet but is what you're hinting at. There's a lot of amazing data services and APIs that can help you make decisions more quickly. Once we get into this third bucket, things get really interesting!
