Hey! Thanks a bunch @emilylonetto. I'm Stefan, the founder / publisher of Remotely Inclined. THE IDEA I've been a remote entrepreneur since 2017, and wasn't finding high quality news, insights, and commentary on remote work (just vocal advocates and job search resources). So I started Remotely Inclined to fill that gap. I envisioned a balanced voice on the pros and problems of remote work. I'm clearly pro-remote, but at the same time I don't pretend it's perfect. I didn't like people who only tweeted about the benefits. I wanted critical analysis. THE WHY You know when you find a blog and the title is perfect, but then the content is generic? It sucks, right? I hated that - especially when it came to remote work. I wanted to know what actually worked for people, not what a junior content marketer could snap together in a blog post. That's the ethos behind Remotely Inclined and the podcast, Remotely Inclined Chats - by practitioners for practitioners. I didn't want fluff. I didn't want to be told what to do, I wanted to learn how others did it. >> This newsletter provides no-nonsense, practical tips for running a business remotely. Whether culture, sales, growth, mental health.. you name it, I share what people actually do to solve the problem << ABOUT ME I'm a writer and entrepreneur. I started one business that failed (miserably), and then started another - a freelancing writing business for scaling startups and venture capitalists wanting to grow their business with content. I started the business remotely because at the time it was a side-hustle, but since fell in love with remote work and have taken the business full-time. I'm also an occasional freelance journalist, and have interviewed over 300 entrepreneurs, politicians, execs, and VCs on what it takes to build innovative software companies. IS THIS A COVID PROJECT? Ugh, ew, no. I came up with the plan for Remotely Inclined in late 2019 after realizing I was having trouble connecting with other remote entrepreneurs. COVID has certainly brought remote work to the forefront, but this newsletter had been months in the making before the official launch in February 2020. I have a question / content I want to see If anyone has any questions, feedback, suggestions, or ideas, please let me know in the comments below! With love from Canada, The Remotely Inclined Team (aka me)

We all subscribe to a ton of newsletters, but Remotely Inclined is a welcomed addition to any inbox. From thoughtful interviews with remote business leaders to valuable takeaways to improve your own and your team’s remote experience – Remotely Inclined has opened up a new way for me to explore remote with my own team and beyond. The content is quick, witty, and most importantly helpful. Stefan’s writing style and long history of remote advocacy/work provides a unique perspective on this new-found trend for many companies – I can’t recommend it enough.
