We've started building this technology as we saw that there is no solution out there tackling this problem. We could not understand, that with the current status of ML/AI technologies, there is no solution for delivery services, POS vendors etc. for inputting a menu into their systems - other than manually transcribing! Other than current OCR services, we have trained our machine to detect the structures like sections, items, prices on images of restaurant menus. Meaning, by sending us images of menus to our API, our customers would not only receive back the extracted plain text (as OCR services would do) but also the information what structural element the text is (e.g. price: 5.90, currency: USD).

@bvknobloch very nice app and service but when I try to upload it says only pdf are allowed? I have a jpg file of a menu
