@laurent_malka Thanks for the feedback Laurent, it is much appreciated! I have added support for transparent backgrounds to Slantt now, you can control the transparency from the color picker. Please give it a whirl and let me know how you get on :)

@daveagill Couple of other tweaks that would be useful: - A reset button / instead of refreshing the page. - When adding an image (from the designer - not the tile upload), it's not clear to me why the image is being duplicated across the canva.

I tried to use the editor, but no clue how to start. It's not intuitive and there are no resource to learn

@gilbert_mizrahi1 Thanks for the feedback Gilbert & point taken. This is top on my hitlist to address. To get going, start with the green '+' button at the top of the editor and import some images that you can then drag and drop onto the grid.

@daveagill that helped. I Started with the 3d view and when I upload some images and tried to drag & drop into the canvas, it didn't allow me. After you placed the tooltip I tried again, this time dragging onto the canvas in 2D and it worked. It would be great to be able to drag an image in 3D to a new location, instead of going back to 2D to do so.

@gilbert_mizrahi1 Excellent feedback. This helps me organise my TODO list. I feel the same about having to switch to 2D to drop the images in (it's also not explained to the user - yet - that's coming). Definitely agree about being able to drag via the 3D view as well without having to switch back and forth.

Hey everyone, I thought it would be cool to make a tool to make it really, really quick and easy to create those neat 3D isometric graphics you sometimes see on websites. Of course Photoshop can do this too but Slantt is trying to save you time and money by making it super easy to get this 3D effect. Lots of features and optimizations I hope to add in the coming days and weeks. Let me know what you think :)

I've made faux isometric designs before but struggled with the 3d aspect and always found it a pain, so this is a good app to see. The option to edit individual images thickness and height is a really nice touch. Excited to see the upcoming features!

The results are good, but getting started is painful. I encountered a bug initially where I couldn't drag images onto the grid, which made me flail quite a bit until I realized what was going on. Some recommendations: 1. I think the biggest UX challenge is that switching between 2D view and the 3D view is jarring. Especially since some options are hidden until you enter 3D view - you should be able to play with the angle and depth in 2D view! 2. Pre-populate the board with a placeholder image and start it in 3D view. Switch to 2D when you try to upload an image. That'll teach the user about the two views. 3. The default gradient is too intense. A more neutral and cooler gradient would be less jarring. This would help with (2). 4. Remove the sidebar. There isn't enough options to warrant it yet. You could even include the coming soon items and have space to spare.

@sashasirotkin Loving this feedback Sasha. 1. Yeah I think the 2 mode switcher is not the way forward. Agreed. 2. Working on this. I'm thinking some initial 'templates' with placeholders that you can jump right in on and start editing. 3. Any recommendations for a good initial gradient? 4. Interesting you say that, but what size screen are you on? It's quite clear that user on-boarding needs to improve :)

@daveagill 3. Any pastel color would be nice. The purple is a good color in your first promo picture. I am also curious how many people opt for single-color backgrounds. 4. A 27in monitor. I have tons of space on the side. It might help moving the "angle and pitch" sliders to the sidebar because it is a more intuitive space for them. People have been trained to expect tools to be there.
