Hey there! I'm a cofounder of Slaps 👋 1-5 star reviews are outdated: 4.3 stars is the average ranking, 68% of reviews are between 4 and 5 stars, and 40% of reviews are fake or paid for. We were disappointed with these solutions and faced frustrations when trying to find new places to go in a city or find happenings & things going on 🤷 So, we created Slaps: a video based local discovery mobile app for Gen Z. It’s kind of like a hybrid between Yelp/Tripadvisor and Tik Tok, with a video first interface but focused on unique categories like hip vibes, cool atmosphere, hidden gems, etc. Soon, we’ll be launching a feature that shows live videos and recent stories of happenings, events, deals & parties going on nearby in a city. If you’d like to try it out, we’re live on Testflight, with content focused on Miami Florida, and we’d love to hear your feedback.
