So, how does it work? 1) Browse a range of in-person and virtual activities posted by other people. 2) See something you like? Ask to join with a single tap. 2) Once accepted, you'll be added to a chat with other attendees to finalise plans and meet-up. It's that simple. 👀 Nothing grabs you? Just create your own event in minutes. Or, try our user search feature and find others based on an interest - then connect, message and organise something directly. ↔️ Unlike other friend-finding platforms that function much like dating apps, Socially is different. There's no swiping, profile trawling, or excessive messaging to ruin the experience. 📅 Our in-app calendar keeps track of all your upcoming events, so there's no need to leave the app and check your other calendars. We'll send you useful reminders so you never miss a thing and will let you know if other events you're tempted to join may clash with ones you're already attending. 😊 There's no pressure to connect on a deeper level or having to pretend to be someone you're not. Socially takes an activity-first approach where friendships have the time and space to grow organically, founded on the enjoyment of mutual interests. 🤳🏼 Don't just tell us who you are; show us! Upload photos, write up your bio, personalise your preferences, add your socials and fill in your interests to help other members understand the real you. 👯 We like to keep attendee numbers low, either 1-2-1 or in small groups of up to 5 others. @piotr_pawlowski Hey Piotr, thanks for dropping a comment! The idea came from my co-founder, who at the time was experiencing loneliness after coming out of long term relationship and moving to London. Essentially, Darren dropped me a message on LinkedIn and I developed his idea. @android @statista @justabeardman Hey Jafbm, thanks for your comment! Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten Android! I’m a solo developer on this project and decided to start developing Socially for iOS since I have a iPhone and had lots of previous experience building iOS apps. I’ve been working on the Android version for some time and hoping to launch early in the new year. I decided to build the app natively purely because there’s no limitations with what I could do regarding features. Although the apps will be very similar, certain features may be exclusive to that platform due to the hardware and software available. Hope this helps!

How do you deal (or plan on dealing) with the cold start problem? As far as my knowledge goes, hundreds of apps have tried to do this and all failed due to the underwhelming chicken & egg situation. Design looks good though! I just hope you have a go to market plan.
