It is such a great concept! I do wonder what steps you are taking though in preventing the spread of fake news, hate media etc.?
Dan Ndombe
@myrill_barrete -- Great question! We have zero tolerance for hate speech, harassment, etc, but have not seen any so far. We've baked in content moderation from the start, including the ability for users to report unsafe content.

Hello hunters, Happy International Day of Peace! πŸ•Š πŸŽ‰ Today we are excited to announce that the Soundwave mobile app is now out of beta and available for everyone to download on the app store. πŸŽ‰ In this post-COVID era, and as people are getting back to an active lifestyle, they have less and less time to consume long-form, live social audio. On Soundwave all content and interactions are asynchronous, meaning that users can produce content, express themselves, and interact which each other on their own time, regardless of location, timezone, work, or school schedule. Something else that stands out about Soundwave, among the huge social audio push, is that its short-form format allows users to have more intimate, authentic conversations with their friends and followers through audio. Soundwave users post 60 seconds Waves to get things off their chest, and find their voice and support in moments of depression and anxiety, in pivotal moments of their life like divorce or medical diagnosis, or to ask deep and personal questions about a wide range of topics, including identity, relationships, and sexuality. 80% of users are between the ages of 18 and 30 (gen z and young millennials), and they are using Soundwave as a platform for self-reflection and expressions, without the typical social media pressure of physical appearance and lifestyle. Soundwave is also seeing big adoption from TikTok and Instagram influencers, who are craving deeper connections, jumping on the microcasting movement, and finding really unique ways to use the app. We'd love to hear your thoughts and any feedback!

@dndombe i understand this would be primarily used for voice, and people having discussions, but I'd really love the idea of this being used for private chats, whether that be from people in your own network (with the rise of voice noting) but also for professionals, DJs sharing sample and song edits?
Dan Ndombe
@mitchell_orme -- Hey Mitchell! Those are great suggestions. We have plans to enable private chat as well as use cases for professional. Right now though, our users seem to like the fact that everything is public.

It's a very nice idea, to share and discuss with other people about a subject, to have their point of view... Great!
Dan Ndombe
@maela_daugan -- Thank you for the feedback, MaΓ«la!

@maela_daugan Thank you MaΓ«la, we love the authentic and open discussions people are starting. It's refreshing to hear people's point of view through the raw and visceral medium of voice.
