Swell Diary

I'm a keen surfer and lucky to live close to one of the worlds surfing epicenters - the Gold Coast in Australia. After going for a surf, I'd regularly get home and get excited seeing YouTube videos from the exact day and break I'd been surfing. That inspired me to create Swell Diary. There are hundreds of raw, daily surf videos uploaded to YouTube each month but I wanted to organise them as a kind of historical archive in a diary like format. They videos are also organised by break and region. In the future I'd like to create maps and visualisation of when swells and posting activity increase and build community features like tagging the days and breaks you surf to create your own personal surf diary.
