What do you think? …

Ryan Hoover
Nice work, @eric_nt. Who's your target audience for this? Indie video creators?
Erick Ntekereze
@rrhoover my belief is that in 2-3 years everyone will be an amateur video creator. Therefore this will just be a collaboration platform.
Erick Ntekereze
@rrhoover simplifying communication is the ultimate goal. The simpler it is the fast we go. Video is a game changer when it comes to how we communicate. Work communication will change and bring about an era where video is absolutely everything.
Ryan Hoover
@eric_nt the YouTube creator demo is what I thought! Do you see this as being a tool for YouTubers to collab with their audience, potentially? Community-driven collaboration would be an interesting area to explore, although I don't know if people really want that. 😊
Erick Ntekereze
@rrhoover absolutely! With Swiff they can engage their audience in ways we haven’t thought of before.
Erick Ntekereze
@rrhoover with this product YouTubers would be able to own their content and sell it directly. Imagine if we can introduce crypto currencies’s power to this. Ultimately it comes down to how fast we can tranfer information. We have yet to see the power of video until its how business happens. This platform for me has been about building the future. Slack started it, Swiff will take it to the next level. Again thank you!
Erick Ntekereze
Thanks for the hunt @nikkielizdemere Hi everyone! I’m one of the co-founder of Swiff. I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on and get your feedback. Swiff is a video collaboration platform that brings all your video and communication together in one place. We started building Swiff as a tool for video creators, but we realized that video now goes way beyond those who create it. It’s now an important part of how we teach and how we learn, how we work and how we share. Here are a few ways you can use Swiff: • Video sharing and team communication. • Upload and review videos • Easily search and share videos from YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion etc. • Create community channels to showcase your passion! • Build an audience around any topic. • Start a GoT fan club! We believe that video is embedded in our everyday lives and are proud to build for and around video! A bit of information: Private Channels- Available only to people you invite Public Channels- Available to team members or anyone you invite Community Channels- Available to anyone on Swiff. Desktop apps are in beta and available to download from the Microsoft Store or on our website (www.swiff.co). Mobile apps coming very soon! Hope to hear from you all on how we can improve Swiff. Thank You!

I like the focus on video only. A lot of products try to do a lot and end up being complicated to use. Swiff.co seems like the right tool for the right job.

Pros:

This product looks like it was built to solve a problem in the video industry.

Cons:

Yet to use extensively. So far nothing

James McKinven
Hi guys, this looks like a nice idea. The design does look a little outdated and complicated, loved the video though. However, how do you look to compete with people like Frame.io, who already have an incredibly good platform that we have no issues at all with?
Erick Ntekereze
@jmckinven Thanks for the feedback! We don't really consider Frame.io a competitor, instead our goal is to make a collaboration platform that supports video in ways slack and other platforms wont. We believe that video will continue growing and want to build a communication platform for people who work with and around video, not just content creators.
Jeremy Bauer
@eric_nt So...are you saying that Swiff is meant to be a collaboration platform that happens to have good video support, but doesn’t focus solely on video? (Whereas Frame.io is solely focused on collaboration on video projects.)
Erick Ntekereze
@barnabybones yes, that's exactly what I want Swiff to be! Products like Frame.io and Whipster require that you be a video creator working on a project. With swiff, individuals and teams can start communicating and sharing videos right away by seamlessly uploading content or searching for content uploaded on other platforms.
Jordan

Great video-sharing platform. Fluid and seamless collaboration features that changes the game for cloud-based companies. Some suggestions:

1. Offer video/web conferencing for business meetings

2. Personalize content by asking user's interests

Pros:

User-friendly interface, versatility, collaboration, all-in-one tool

Cons:

Not many

Erick Ntekereze
@jordan you read my mind. That feature will be in there for business teams for sure!
