What do you think? …

Vladimir Iglovikov
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built TernausWay for myself and have been using it daily for the past 3 months. After a couple of weeks of tweaks, it became exactly what I needed - a simple habit enforcer that gives me that extra push to maintain my daily routines. Unlike traditional habit trackers, this app isn't about tracking everything. It's about building lasting habits through the power of streaks. I use Apple Health for tracking, but that doesn't motivate me to change behavior. TernausWay does. I started with 4 core habits focused on sleep quality: • Wake up at 5am • Bed at 9pm • No caffeine • No alcohol And one for health: • Time-restricted eating (noon-6pm) Later added guitar practice. The idea is simple: when a habit becomes natural, you remove it and add a new one. It's about gradual growth, one habit at a time. The app is minimal, stores data locally, and does one thing well - helps you build lasting habits through daily streaks. Try it out and let me know what you think! 🚀

its really hard to change my lazy mind , bro . whats your solution for that ?

Vladimir Iglovikov

@_hounter_007 I do not think you should anything about this.

1. If it works and does not really bother you - why should you change anything?
2. More lazy people in this world, less competition for me. ;)

@vladimir_iglovikov2 Laziness make software like this hard to be really effective, i mean . the viewpoint oabout competition is very realistic

@_hounter_007 I made it for myself, and use it.

Meaning, I tailored it to this slight nudge that I need to have good everyday habit stick. And it works.

I suspect, that I can add things like:

- Put XXX dollars to your account, and if you do not follow the streak for one week => they will be forever moved to my account
- Leaderboard to compare with friends,
- something else

would be more forceful and benefitial for other people.

If someone would be willing to pay for a subscription for such functionality - will be happy to add it.

@vladimir_iglovikov2 Indeed, in a small scope, it often follows the "20% effort achieves 80% of the gains" principle. Perhaps keeping the functionality simple is also a good choice, and development should be adjusted based on user usage.

I've seen some extreme Android applications that obtain all permissions on the phone, even restricting users from performing non-work-related operations. Of course, such "strange" implementations are also driven by user demand.
