How many times have you found out the ideal domain name only to realize that the social accounts have been already taken? Enter UserHunt.co - a search engine that goes to all the social, tech and creative sites to check if your desired username is available.
Getting a domain name for your company is hard. Equally hard is getting your desired username on social sites.
How many times have you found out the ideal domain name only to realize that the social accounts have been already taken?
We got frustrated and decided to come up with a solution. Enter UserHunt.co - a username search engine that goes to all the social, tech, creative and blog sites to check if your desired username is available. If it's available, you can click on the link and quickly register your username before someone else scoops it up.
Our solution is built on top of https://github.com/sherlock-proj...
Based on the feedback we receive, we plan to add more sites in the future.

I really like the interface. One little suggestion, if I may, can you add a link to the signup page of each social media? Like if an username is available, I will be able to land on the sign up page of that social media if I click on it. Cheers.
Hey. Thanks for checking it out. Let me see if we get that data. If we do, we will definitely add it.

Hi. What is UserHunt's revenue model? The recommendation I'll tell you in a moment can save you super money for your startup.
Possibility to hide some names for $5 per month. For example, I want to use the name YouTube.com/ugurkilci, but let's assume I haven't opened a YouTube account yet. If I could hide it by saying "hide name" from UserHunt, it would work for me.
Another example of income is to set up a marketplace where names can be sold. For example, I have a YouTube.com/dollar account. I can sell this for $999. You receive commission from within. Get this feature. I swear, I use it the day it comes out. :D

What makes this different from all the other sites that have been around for over 10+ years like https://knowem.com/?

I know how painfull it could be to find available username, so project looks like very usefull.
As @quazi_hameem_mahmud mentioned before - woul be nice to get "Go and register" button if name is available. Because right now each status-button follows to user profile page even if it doesn't exist.
Wish you good luck and more good ideas!
@quazi_hameem_mahmud@dribas Thanks for taking the time to comment. We will definitely see how we can add this feature in future.

This is cool. Just searched for myself. I love simple interfaces like this (UserHunt), a simple app with clear UX. Congratulations on your launch π
Some socials to add: Snapchat, Clubhouse
Super useful, this will save me a ton of time querying twitter / insta manually!
P.S: The logos on your hero image section look squished on Safari, I think its due to display:flex
