Hey Product Hunters!

We’re back with Merge AI 2.0—smarter AI, still grounded in real code.

V1 turned prompts into layouts with open-source components.
2.0 creates and refines them with an AI helper, image upload, and better models.

💼 For enterprise teams, we now offer Custom Library AI integration: bring your own component library via Git, and the AI will generate and refine UIs that follow your exact design rules. If you’d like early access, drop a comment or DM, and we’ll set you up. You can also learn more here: http://bit.ly/4rK4ig8

This update is about realism and control: AI that actually sticks to your design rules, so every idea moves closer to production—not to throwaway mockups.

💡 What’s new in 2.0:

  • Refine coded components instantly with AI prompts

  • Image upload for visual-based generation

  • Prompt library for structured starting points

  • Smarter AI models for better reasoning and layout

  • Expanded open-source library support (MUI, Shadcn/UI, Ant Design, React Bootstrap)

  • Turn vector designs into real code (and back). Available for built-in open-source libraries.

  • New code-backed templates.

  • Enterprise: custom library AI integration.

great work getting the launch published before the Holiday period! @nat_lasica

Nat Lasica

@andrew_uxpin Thanks! Nice to have it out before the holidays!

Andrew Martin

Andrew - CEO of @UXPin Merge here,

Just wanted to quickly throw a huge shoutout to the UXPin team for the tireless work that got Merge AI 2.0 out the door before the holiday period - this one was a true all-hands push 🙌

BUT.. we’re just getting started: we’ve got multiple new releases coming in early 2026 and more rolling out throughout the year.

Excited to keep building with this community and turning your feedback into what ships next 🚀

If you have any questions, feedback or banter - fire away! 👇

Julia Prus

Woohoo! Great work team 🔥

Nat Lasica

@julia_prus1 Thanks so much!

Sriya Vipin

this has come so far in 12 months! Insane work guys.

Nat Lasica

@sriya_vipin Thank you! It’s been a journey for sure.

Elliot Langston

So I'm assuming you’re aiming to reduce the ‘rebuild from scratch’ work for devs? Or is this mostly a faster design exploration tool?

Andrew Martin

@elliot_langston Hey Elliot - great question!

Short answer: yes, we’re aiming to reduce the rebuild from scratch tax.
Longer answer: we think the fastest path to that is making exploration happen on real components, not mockups.

In reality the reduction in work for the dev is up to the designer and their willingness to design with coded components from the start - which is what Merge makes easy.

We are also aiming to make Merge intuitive enough (and creative enough with AI) so that the devs could design it themselves 🤷🏼‍♂️

Robert Hilscher

Happy to see this live!

Nat Lasica

@robert_hilscher Yay, same!

Chris Stryjewski

Oh nice! That looks like a pretty amazing evolution of Merge 🙌

Nat Lasica

@whtmnk Thanks, Chris! Cool to see how it’s evolved!

Andrew Martin

@whtmnk Hey Chris! Great to see you here.

There's plenty more to come! Reach out if you want a sneak peak of what we're launching in January 😉
