Vaquill was founded with a mission to empower individuals by making them aware of their legal rights. In India, a significant portion of the population is unaware of their legal rights simply due to a lack of accessible information in their native languages.

Hi everyone, I'm the CTO of Vaquill, and I'd like to share our story and why we founded Vaquill. Our CEO, @arshita_anand, a final-year law student at CNLU, India, and I once asked ourselves: Why can't the average Indian access legal information in their regional language? Why is most legal content only available in English? India is home to hundreds of languages, yet legal resources are predominantly in English, with some available in Hindi—though often too complex for those without a legal background to understand. We identified this as a significant gap and launched Vaquill just 3 months ago (yes, we’re still new!). We currently provide legal articles in 6 languages: English, Hindi, Bangla, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, with plans to expand into Kannada, Odia, Gujarati, and Urdu. Our mission is simple: Every Indian should be able to understand their legal rights in their native language, without needing to rely on costly lawyers or those fluent in English. We’d love to hear what the Product Hunt community thinks about this initiative! Visit us at https://vaquill.com

Hi everyone, I am the CEO of Vaquill- India's first multilingual legal blog. It provides you actionable legal information in 6 languages- English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Bangla! The inspiration for Vaquill came from a very personal place. My mother, a homemaker and a 12th-grade graduate, often struggled to understand legal procedures because English is not her native language. Seeing her challenges firsthand made me realize the importance of accessible legal information. This got me thinking: 70% of India lives in Tier 2 & 3 regions and English may not be the language they are comfortable in. There are hardly any law platforms with content accessible in regional languages. And so, we started Vaquill! This platform has been in operation for only three months but has shown so much growth so far! Just goes on to prove how neglected the regional languages have been in terms of accessible technology. We are trying to bridge this very informational gap between people. Afterall, why should an Indian be constrained by a language that is not even native to them, right? Would love to get a feedback from you all! Visit us at https://vaquill.com

Congratulations on your Launch @zriyansh Would love to find out what is the backstory of Vaquill. What motivated you to start working on this startup in the first place?
Priyansh Khodiyar
@bilalasif Thank you so much! I'm glad you're interested in the story behind Vaquill. The motivation for starting Vaquill came from noticing a significant gap in accessible legal information in India. A large portion of the population faces legal issues daily but struggles to understand their rights due to the complexity of legal jargon and the fact that most resources are available only in English. I wanted to change that by creating a platform that breaks down legal knowledge in a way that’s easy to understand and available in multiple regional languages. Vaquill was born out of a desire to empower people by giving them access to accurate, straightforward legal information. Whether it's understanding the laws around property, workplace rights, or personal matters, I believe everyone deserves to be informed. The journey has been all about bridging that gap and making legal knowledge more accessible to everyday individuals.
