Video Recap

Hey PH! I'm Anthony, builder of Video Recap. In 2022, my YouTube watching hit a peak as I consumed content from variety and gaming to educational video essays. I really wanted some way to summarize and analyze my watching habits to identify trends, just like Spotify’s ‘Wrapped.’ There wasn’t any, and I found out why when I tried building one myself: the YouTube API doesn’t support that. Using a different solution, I was able to release the first version of Video Recap in December 2022, and reception was great! Over 1M users in the first month including content creators such as Ludwig Ahgren. This year, I’m happy to share that Video Recap is back for 2023. A quick look at what’s the site offers: - High-level overview of watching habits and top creators - Time-related stats for your watching habits - Identify growing creators you watch - Fun interpretations of your interests - Look back at your first and most watched videos - Shareable recap image - Exclude specific creators from the recap who might no longer be relevant for the year - Correctly calculates the watchtime for YouTube Shorts creators and long-form creators - Dashboard to analyze your data for any time period at a more granular level I would appreciate you giving it a try, and I hope you had as much fun as I did looking through my stats for the year! Wow, this is such a cool idea! I'm always curious about my YouTube watching habits and it would be awesome to have a recap of my year. Does Video Recap only analyze my personal account or can I input multiple accounts to get a comprehensive overview? Also, have you considered adding any personalized recommendations based on the user's top creators? Overall, great job on creating this unique tool!
