In a world where news has almost become entertainment, and nearly every platform is trying to cater to the specific ideology of their customers, The Factual is truly a breath of fresh air. Their search engine allows you to quickly and easily see both sides of any news story, with clear and detailed information about the political slant of the reporting agency and how factual the actual content of any given article is, before you even start to read it. You can even filter out news from sources that are behind a paywall so that you know that every search result you see is accessible to you.
I really can't recommend The Factual enough, regardless of your ideology. No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you will find their services to be invaluable. In addition to their search tools, The Factual also has other features available such as a daily news digest email, and a news evaluator add-in for chrome. You simply will not find a better source for news, anywhere.
The Factual is my go-to source for news and I've been waiting for this feature! Yay!!! Now I can easily find the best sources to learn more about specific news topics that interest me.
The Factual is a great resource for doing news research on topics that have lots of noise over the internet. Not only is it useful for politically charged topics such as covid or climate change, sometimes if you simply want factual, technical news on, say, a company that you are researching as a vendor candidate or investment partner, The Factual should be part of your arsenal.
As a news super-consumer, I was looking for ways to make reading the news less of a headache. I loved their newsletter because it delivers the five trending news stories from across a broad range of topics each and every day. Their ranking system helps me easily find the most credible and informative news. I recently discovered their desktop news site and was curious, how does the search engine work? (it's impressive how many articles are rated on a daily basis).
This is awesome. I've been a subscriber to The Factual for a few years now, so I'm already a big fan of the algorithm that gives me simple, streamlined access to credible news. (It's a major stress-reliever to see at a glance the political leaning, quality grade, etc and not worry that I'm consuming bias instead of facts.) I just took the new search bar for a whirl and I LOVE it! As a basic feature, it's just great to be able to search for something I want to read more about, but the bonus feature I love is the ability to exclude articles that are behind paywalls. (No more beginning a preview of an article I can't finish without paying!!!)
