I've really liked using HEY for the past 4 years. However, I recently decided to stop using it because I haven't seen any significant improvements lately. Initially, it was a very user-friendly app for filtering out spam from my life. Instead of paying a few hundred bucks for that feature, I decided to block any incoming non-essential email from my traditional inbox, and hey - it works for me too!
GET HEY NOW, IT'S EXTREMELY QUINTESSENTIAL. NOTHING ELSE TO SAY!!! THANKS DDH, JF & TEAM!
Using Hey for almost 2 years for personal usage and I have only good things to say about it, I can't imagine coming back to gmail with it. It takes a bit more time to manage it later when you make it your primary inbox, which may not be for everyone, but if this essential part of your life isn't organized, you can't be as efficient I think. It's a bit pricey which may change once they have more users.
This is THE best email service I've ever used. It's easy to use, really beautiful interface, and it works the way I do. If you're looking for an alternative to Gmail or Outlook--and still need to get stuff done--I suggest you check this out.
I had Outlook and Gmail forever. Hey's re-imagining of the inbox to the Imbox and other features have given me control over email again. Bubble up feature is also very helpful.
Now I am starting to use the calendar also. I just wish companies would buy it so I could also use it at work.
have been using HEY for the past 2 years and can't imagine life without it. it's so... cozy.
You find yourself trying hard to make it work, requires too much management, constant approval of new emails but worst of all load times are horrendous across all apps, on occasion waiting 15 seconds to load an email!
Finally an email service that understands the way we should use email nowadays! It’s simple yet very well thought and saves me a LOT of time
Hey is the email app for those who hate email. It's an opinionated service that offers it's own philosophy for managing email which may or may not work for you. If it doesn't, support will dismiss your feedback and encourage you to adopt there philosophy.
The execution of Hey's vision is disjointed with the three main areas of the app each obeying their own user interaction standards. Other basic functions like email rendering, and basic email composition workflows are lacking.
Hey LOVES to hide email from you and it does this exceptionally well. So well in fact, I found I was always missing important emails. If you look at an important email once, it just disappears! You have to take manual action each time you view an email to get it to NOT disappear, or just disable the feature for hiding one of the services key(?) value adds.
