Maildbird on macOS is beautiful but I can not pin emails and keep them on the top of the list.
A lot of settings missing.
Emails take a lot of time to arrive, I need constantly refresh.
That’s it.
I hope you can improve the mailbird for Mac.
Anyway, I purchase premium lifetime license + updates for 1yr.
Mailbird on Windows is fire.
Mailbird on Mac seems promising.
Following in the hopes of encouraging the development of Mac as that's my primary platform for work now.
Main Requests:
1. Cmd+M does not minimize window.
2. Drap and drop file attachment, either as attachment or in-line (image).
3. Multiple selection to archive, delete emails. Needs to be done one by one.
Love you guys, but this ain't a 1.0.
Love Mailbird and how easy it is to manage my emails there. Would love to see some things be smoother, but they are minor and only a heavy-duty user would notice.
Hi Og man,
I would like to take this opportunity to once again fully acknowledge your disappointment with regards to the small fee required in order to move to Mailbird 3.0.
Although it is still necessary to purchase a new license for anyone who wishes to use Mailbird 3.0, the previous version of our product (i.e. Mailbird 2.x) continues to work without issue. We intend to honor any 'Pay Once' purchases by ensuring that these license can still be used by anyone who chooses not to switch over to Mailbird 3.0.
Sincere apologies once again from all of us at Mailbird for the disappointment caused.
I used Mailbird on Windows a while ago and quite liked it. When I saw that they planned to make a macOS version I signed up for their mail list immediately. Now, years later I finally got an email to join the beta and hopped right in.
Unfortunately Mailbird has since switched away from developing a native app to electron. Mailbird is almost 1GB in size which makes it more than 30x larger than Apple mail. This enormous size leads to relatively long startup times and the interface has an overall sluggish feeling to it and doesn't feel native at all.
Being not happy at all, I requested a refund only to get an automated email that the support email address they link to is no longer active. Bummer! I contacted their feedback address and have yet to receive a refund.
Edit: The refund is now being processed!
Bad product, bad business practices. Stay away.
Hi Rene, thanks for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We do wish to to take this opportunity to clarify that our app is NOT built on Electron, and that the size of the app does not impact its speed in any way.
I'm sorry to hear that you had problems contacting us regarding your problems. Mailbird for Mac has a Support section in Settings > Support which our customers can use to contact us easily from the app itself.
This is just the beginning of the road for Mailbird for Mac, as we intend to put a considerable amount of resources into gradually (and rapidly) expanding and refining its suite of features and functionalities in order to become the preferred email management solution for as many macOS users as possible.
If you do decide to give us another go, we would be more than happy to investigate the issues your experienced with our app's speed in order to understand whether or not the root cause resides in Mailbird or elsewhere.
All the best.
I've been a happy user of Mailbird 2 and I jumped at the chance to buy the lifetime deal. This one-time payment for endless use of their great service seemed like a bargain. Mailbird 2 has been a big help, making my email tasks easier with its simple design and strong features.
But things changed with the release of Mailbird 3. This new version, although better and more promising, came with a surprise. The lifetime deal I bought for Mailbird 2 does not cover this upgrade.
It feels like I'm being asked to pay again for Mailbird 3, and that's a letdown. I thought "lifetime" meant that any new versions would be included. But, it looks like I was wrong.
I get that making and maintaining new software costs money. But, it's hard to be asked to pay again after buying a lifetime deal.
In short, while I like the changes in Mailbird 3, I'm upset about the extra cost. I hope Mailbird will think about its long-term customers who bought the previous lifetime deal.
Hi there w3b spac3,
Although I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying the new features and design contained in Mailbird 3.0, I'm naturally very sorry indeed to learn of your disappointment. I fully respect and understand your position with regards to the one-off fee required to obtain Mailbird 3.0, but I do wish to assure everyone that the previous version of our product (i.e. Mailbird 2.x) continues to work fine for any customers who freely chose not to switch to Mailbird 3.0.
Mailbird 3.0 is far more than just one of our regular update packages - it includes a wide range of new features and improvements which we developed tirelessly behind the scenes for many months, which set it aside from Mailbird 2.x in a radical way. These features and improvements dramatically expand its capabilities and improve its appearance based on the precious feedback we have been collecting from customers over the past few years.
Should you ever require any assistance or guidance, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Happiness Team via our website - someone will always be delighted to be of service.
Sincere apologies once again from all of us at Mailbird for the disappointment caused.
Oliver
