Ratings and Reviews

From sunup to sundown, millions of caffeine-craving people descend on Starbucks to get their daily cup. We’ve had Starbucks’ super-handy app on our phones for ages, and it’s staying right there. We love using the Mobile Order & Pay feature in the app to customize our beverage before even setting foot inside the store.
Auto reload took my last $10
yeah. Newish to the app, I wanted to order ahead with a gift card. I noticed the auto reload and went to my card in the app, changed it to “off” on auto reload. Hit save, said my changes were saved. Went back to my cart and said that auto reload was still on for $25… so I clicked $10 just to be safe, as I literally had just enough on my gift card to buy one drink and I didn’t want it to charge my card $25 and overdraft. Mind you, I’m assuming there’s no way my card will be charged, bc I clicked off auto reload... right?? I pay and place my order, and what do you know- my debit card was charged $10 auto reload to the Starbucks app. Literally left me with a $1 to my name for 4 days. The only reason I got the drink was because it was FREE FROM A GIFT CARD.
Also… Tried to order from the app again today and use my debit card- could not get auto reload off. I get Starbucks once a week at most- and I do not want the auto reload on. I cannot figure out how to turn it off. App developers- please, for the love of god- make the auto reload option more accessible and understandable. Brand transparency is lacking here- I will no longer be using the app until this is fixed.
Needs to provide status of your current mobile order.
First time user of the app, so take this for what its worth but no where in the app could I find the status of my current order. Under “Orders”, my current order showed up as the top most order but no status. It looked no different than orders placed last week or weeks before. No status.
Why is this important? When I got inside the store, the pickup area was somewhat chaotic. There’s no line, just a bunch of ppl hovering around the pickup area, and some people waiting patiently on one the “wait here” floor stickers. So what should I do?
Well, had I known the status of my order, I at least could make an educated decision to either wait on one of the floor dots, or hustle my way up to the counter to ask for my order. I am not a confrontational person so having to do anything to even appear to be “cutting the wait line” is never something I want to do. But in this experience at the store, I was faced with having to make that decision because I was completely in the dark about whether my order was ready to pick up or not.
If the status of an order is indeed available in the app, then please make it more user friendly, and obvious, to get to.
