Some things are unintuitive, but it’s wonderfully simple
I started using this as my notetaking app at work and have basically fallen in love with it. Other note taking apps provide a lot more functionality than I need, and are kind of cumbersome as a result. All I really want is the equivalent of a “scratch pad” that I can quickly open and jot stuff down in without spending a lot of time waiting for it to open or navigating through a complicated UI. Stack gives me that. It stays out of my way while giving me just enough features to format and organize my notes. I showed this to one of my coworkers, and he has also been using it now for several months. I don’t know why this isn’t more popular.
I recommend this to software developers in particular since it has a lot of keyboard shortcuts and uses markdown.
My only real criticism is that it took me a long time to figure out how to delete a note. This could be made a bit more intuitive.
Subkey search failed
I put in a stack/example, and search didn't pick it up. This app has some work to do.
Needs more help screens
This app looks interesting, it just needs more examples and help screens to show how to use it. A guided walkthrough would be great for this app.
