Congrats to @mikedorsey @bastiaanjanmaat and co on the launch! Makes sense for these kinds of company alerts like new funding rounds, news mentions (your own / competitor's) etc. to show up in Slack. And since DataFox os a paid product... very cool that the Slack integration is free! Looking forward to trying it 😎 Bastiaan/Mike what type of alerts have you seen the Slack integration particularly useful for?
Mike Dorsey
Thanks @nivo0o0 - we're excited to offer a free version of DataFox Alerts so that everyone can enjoy the power of the insights we find and categorize for you. The biggest use cases for our alerts are to track competitors, potential customers, and industry news. The most popular alert types - in addition to the more typical milestones that we offer like Fundings & Acquisitions - are the 40+ unique alert types that we identify, e.g.: New Product Launches, New Executive Hires, New Office Openings, New Patents, and more. We have built some pretty awesome NLP and machine learning to find these signals from government filings, job listings, and press releases - and we have an audit infrastructure in place to ensure that they're accurate & relevant. Excited to hear what you all think about it!!

Thanks for hunting, @nivo0o0! A few common uses include sales reps, who track office openings and executive hires; product strategists, who monitor competitors' launches and strategy announcements; and marketers, who stay on top of industry leaders' press mentions and conferences. There are a number of different uses, though - we have over 40 types of alerts, and there's something for every professional :)

Its (DataFox) a paid product, & I hate it, when such service do not show any info about pricing. Its really difficult to figure out from their landing page as well.
Bastiaan Janmaat
Hi @patelnachiket - Bastiaan here, one of the founders. The Slack integration is actually 100% free! If you clicked on "Get It" above, that should take you to our landing page for the Slack integration (http://www.datafox.com/tour/slac...). Clicking "Add to Slack" there will get you to the free product. If, on the other hand, you navigate away from that landing page to other parts of DataFox.com, you'll also find your way to our full platform, which offers a 14 day free trial but is a paid product. Thanks for the feedback though, we'll try to make that clearer on the landing page. Cheers!

@bastiaanjanmaat Thanks for replying. I understand Slack integration is free. But I was talking about DataFox as a product. I get that there is a 14 day trial. But DataFox doesn't show pricing information anywhere, I guess its only visible after you 'sign up'. I have no idea before signing up, whether its a $10/month product or $100/month or $20/user product. So that is what my complaint was. Because of this reason, I didn't signup, so its still a mystery for me. :)
Bastiaan Janmaat
@patelnachiket Yeah, I hear ya. Such is the nature of pricing enterprise-grade products where implementations vary between different types of customers. I'd be happy to walk you through the pricing structure of our broader platform if you're interested. Shoot me a DM on Twitter. I'll follow you now.

@bastiaanjanmaat Thanks for the offer. I am bootstrapping a product, and its in very early stage, so I do not have immediate need. But expect to hear from me, in a month or so :)
Mike Dorsey
@patelnachiket I understand completely. The reason is that we have clients ranging from the huge: Fortune 100s, the US government, most of the top PE firms in the world to the small: e.g. 10 person tech companies. Our paid offering is a full platform that has several huge components: CRM Data Repair and APIs, a full Company Prospecting Suite, Company Intelligence and Contact Info, and Company Tracking. As a result, we have some clients on economical starter packages and others paying 6-figures. What's exciting is that this is our very first FREE product - we've been waiting for a good way to get DataFox into EVERYONE'S hands. Now anyone (regardless of price sensitivity) can track up to 50 companies and know when they reach key milestones (like key hires, new products) - it's a small piece of our overall offering - but a very powerful one...hope you enjoy!

DataFox has been on my radar for a while. Second Niv here - cool to see this free integration
Mike Dorsey
@romanzadyrako glad to hear it - now we can power your radar :). Happy to help you setup a tracking list.

Now this is something I could definitely use. Mike, Bastiaan - thank you for building this!
Mike Dorsey
@serikiman Thanks Serik - let us know how it goes for ya. To be totally honest, I helped, but @bentrombley, @_samparas, and @e_tatarchenko actually wrote all the code :) They're the heros...

Thrilled that DataFox is on Producthunt! Getting verified and actionable company information and insights is incredibly challenging. Free DataFox for Slack allows you to select the companies most important you and then specify what kind of news they want. -- Goodbye noisy google alerts!

So excited to see DataFox for Slack on Product Hunt! I'm not exactly unbiased, but it's been really helpful for me as a marketer to track other companies in the SaaS space, and find newsworthy trends.
