Hi all,
We've just launched a free cross-platform app that walks you through the deep and entangled forest of app development costs.
How much does it cost to make an app? Web or mobile? What should it do?
As an owner of a software development studio, I do quoting on a daily basis. Clients are always interested in ballpark figures. And they want them now. With Estimapp, you can give them that number in less than 30 sec.
The quick quiz results in a detailed shareable quote with features split, hourly rate and even taxes. (See the example in attachment.)
As we see it:
- Estimapp can help devs (and, I'm so sorry, they are mostly terrible at estimating their time) to make better quotes and explain the costs to the client.
- It can help clients to understand the pricing structure.
- It can help sales people to give super quick ballpark figures on the spot.
Get it over here:
- iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/...?
- Android: https://play.google.com/store/ap...
Feel free to try Estimapp and share what you think of it. Was it helpful? How can we make it better?
P.S.: The concept is based on http://howmuchtomakeanapp.com We did talk to Crew, who initially created this website. It's all cool.

It is quick and easy for sure! Any chance it could use a currency other than the $?
Useful! But can't really see why it's a mobile app and not a simple website as it's a one-time use? Unless I missed something!
Really nice looking tho :)
@clementlebau excellent question! As I've mentioned above, the app potentially could be used by sales people on a tablet, during the actual meeting, with no internet connection what ever. I guess this is the main reason for having an app instead of web.
Same 'internetless' scenario can be applied to entrepreneurs. They (us) get ideas constantly: anytime, anywhere.

This is actually a very helpful tool. When we first started developing we had no idea how much to charge. I think we still have that problem lol :).
