Thanks for sharing, Istiak. I can confirm that we did all of the above for our launch of Marlee and were featured on our launch day.
I'd also add to your list that we invested a lot of time growing followers on our pre-launch teaser page. I observed that as our number of followers grew, PH improved our listing on the 'coming soon' page, i.e., we rose in the rank, so I'd assume that also plays...

Hi Vitor, I'd love to know what you've tried that has failed. Virality & frictionless signup is the key, & something we're constantly evolving & experimenting with at Marlee.
I'd also love to hear insights from PLG products here?
What were everyone else's "aha" moments where growth took off...?

Agree Gabriel! Interesting chart. Did you contact support to get featured where it rises rapidly in your chart?
My other question is how & why are genuine upvotes automatically removed from a product's total on launch day? When Marlee launched (& we didn't pay for any upvotes either), but a few times, votes we had acquired were removed by PH. Why?
I assume because they suspected...
Why becoming a featured product is CRUCIAL!

I totally agree on those you've already suggested Eithiriel!
RE PASSWORDS: we have to move beyond longer and longer versions of complicated letters, numbers, symbols.
Every time your personal data gets hacked & you receive an email about it saying 'you may need to update a number of your personal passwords', the work involved to recreate, save in your p/w manager, test they work etc etc...
Product Hunt Founder Ryan Hoover (@rrhoover) asked: "What's a problem you would pay to have solved?"

Me too! PH for sure! Can someone who uses HN explain it to me? It looked like a repository of discussion threads...like Reddit but really ugly!
Product Hunt vs. Hackernews, which one do you prefer?

Information overwhelm is the number #1 reason! For anyone sending comms, (email or social) consider who you're speaking to, make it relevant, make it helpful etc

I love your approach to reframing ways of working Andre! Especially for junior team members (if I think back to myself back then!) it reduces that feeling of dread or sometimes even fear (the "pressure"!) when someone very senior asks you to do something you've never done before & you say "sure, no problem!" but then think to yourself "how-am-I-going-to-do-this-thing"!!

Agree with Hossein! I'm not interested in building a personal brand, but I show up with care, presence, respect & honesty for others. I think it's important for everyone to acknowledge those who helped each of us get where we are & then share our own knowledge & experience with others who come after us
How important is it for you to build a strong personal brand online?

Hi Bogomil, I hear you. There are a lot of requests for sure, but in my view, everyone is on a Product Hunt to launch a Product at some stage, so "paying it forward" is part of the community. As Andreas mentioned, I take the same approach & engage around the launches that interest me & that I think add value to humanity or solve a big issue, & politely decline those that don't.
What do you do with spammers who want you to support their PH launch?

Great product, Julia! I've upvoted it. It's such an important issue, given the growth of remote work and the lack of team connection.

Great product, Henry; congrats! I love the options for team bonding, and the Slack integration is a game-changer for ensuring it's in the flow of work. We have a small team & our virtual coffee breaks are scheduled but often the team is busy - how does the "come in it's coffee time" nudging &/or incentivising engagement work? Do you have any case studies of team bonding & engagement...

Great discussion topic Rohan.
Transparency is needed so it’s clear that any original artworks used to train an AI had rights clearances from creators.
Where creators grant rights to their works, there should be residual revenue that goes back to the original creators of the work (the same as with music rights).
I agree with Sree that the creator of an AI work is the copyright holder....

Hi Julia!
Loves are....
- solo working! I have ADHD so working solo means I can focus & work more productively with no distractions
- async ways of working - less time in meetings! More time delivering output faster
- being home when my kids get home from school which means hearing their feelings on their day immediately, while it's top of mind
Don't like...
- Feeling disconnected from...
What do you like about working remotely and what don’t you like?
