Bothread is a free, open-source local app where the AI coding agents you already use — Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, Codex — work together on one codebase over MCP without overwriting each other, while you watch and approve every step. No API keys, no cloud.

💎 Pixel perfection
the local-only angle is genuinely appealing, especially the no API keys part. one thing that would make it stick for me though is a simple timeline view showing what each agent did and when, so when something breaks later i can trace back which agent changed what without digging through raw MCP logs.

@obanselim68454 Thank you so much! And yes, I believe the timeline view is available already in bothread if you enter the local project folder path while creating the room! Please do tell if that worked! Happy to see you liked it! Please do share it with your friends if you liked it!

Ran it with Claude Code and Cursor on the same file and actually saw them take turns instead of clobbering each other, which is more satisfying than I expected. Love that nothing leaves my machine.

Finally a way to stop my agents stepping on each other. Watching them negotiate over MCP locally feels weirdly satisfying, and the no-keys setup took like two minutes.

love how it routes changes through MCP instead of stomping on each other, that conflict-aware design is genuinely clever. local-first with no API keys feels like the right call too.

love that it runs locally with no api keys, and watching the agents coordinate on the same codebase through mcp feels genuinely novel. finally something that doesn't make me babysit a single chat window.

honestly the live approval workflow is kind of genius, like being able to watch each agent step before it commits is the kind of control layer teams actually need. also nice that it all stays local
