Once I forgot about PH launch and still landed in top10. How?

Quite embarrassed to share this, but once I forgot about a launch at Product Hunt and opened the page two days later. My product was 10th or 11th of the day. Not so big of course, but considering that I haven't done absolutely anything on a launch day, I think it's still some result. A week before the launch I met a new girl and totally forgot about everything haha :) So how did my product land on the list? I followed PH tips thoroughly (well, except those regarding the launch day activities). And the most useful tip that actually made it happen was very simple and obvious for people here: months before the launch be active in Discussions on PH (where we are right now). Be useful to others and people will appreciate it. And that is why I love this community here, in Discussions. You are the best!
