Always nice to see people catching up with what we've been doing at TidBITS for years. :-) We record most articles (it doesn't make sense for everything) and make them available directly from the article or as a podcast. Our versions aren't terribly popular with our readers, so I wouldn't bet big money on this effort from Medium continuing in the long run or attracting a vast listenership. (We...

I agree with others that the app window is just too small; if you're looking for an image, a preview that's smaller than a postage stamp isn't helpful. It needs to be a standalone app with a resizable window. Besides, menubar apps are competing for space with a lot of other apps.
It would be useful to be able to drag images out to a Mac app, but only if you could control the size of the image...

A few questions/comments (some of which I've already sent privately to support@)
* What's the roadmap/schedule for email? That's far more important than social for conversion. And by email, I mean collecting multiple posts into a nicely formatted newsletter and mailing it to a list that the system maintains, complete with bounce processing.
* Similarly, what's the roadmap/schedule for...

I’m the publisher of Take Control Books and one of the editors of “Take Control of Slack Admin.” This book picks up where “Take Control of Slack Basics” leaves off, since there are some things in Slack that only admins can do, or that only admins need to worry about. In the book, author Glenn Fleishman focuses on helping both novice admins and IT staff set up and manage Slack teams. The book...

I’m the publisher of Take Control Books, and one of the editors of this title. We designed the 185-page “Take Control of Slack Basics” to help both new users who are feeling at sea after being dropped into a Slack group and more experienced users who want to use Slack more efficiently. The author, Glenn Fleishman, pays special attention to configuring Slack notifications so you’re alerted...

A few suggestions:
* For those of us with multiple monitors, it would be nice to have a different image loaded on each monitor. Seeing a double image of the same thing is oddly troubling.
* Many people will also have their own collection of wallpapers that they don't want to lose. It would thus be great to have the option to point it at a folder on the Mac and have those images interleaved...

It has the details about PowerPC (well, Rosetta) wrong. It says "Mac OS 10.6 also marked the end of the PowerPC architecture. Only Intel-based Macs were supported from this point on."
In fact, Rosetta, and thus PowerPC applications, are supported in 10.6. That goes away in 10.7 Lion.

We published @joekissell's full review of CleanMyMac 3 over at TidBITS. His bottom line: "The presence of a few “meh” features notwithstanding, I’ve found CleanMyMac3 to be both effective and safe. It’s easy enough for a beginner to use, the explanations of each feature are useful, the Help is helpful, and I even happen to like the little animations and sounds that accompany most actions in the...

Thanks to Greg for posting “Take Control of TextExpander.” I’m the publisher of Take Control Books, and I’m happy to answer any questions about the book or our publishing model, which aims to create a virtuous circle:
• Readers win by getting professionally edited and written documentation that answers questions and provides step-by-step instructions.
• The developer benefits through...
