I think its all about building audience by reaching out or atleast getting people to know your product. We had gathered around 400 ppl on our coming soon by reaching out to many people on linkedin.

Not sure but as per launches in the last 2 months, monday tuesday seem to be having the highest traffic and thereon it gradually decreases. So, based on your support base and product, you might consider taking the call

The weather for sure has decent impact on my mood. More of sun -> more of sweat -> more irritated. I like cool breezy weather

I'd say limiting the number of votes would not be the right alternative. Afterall, the platform is about promoting all best products. Maybe the verification process of accounts when being created is something that should be looked at. Probably something like the third party account you are using to register should be atleast 6 months old, etc.
