What's up Product Hunt! Happy to be here for another launch.
This time I'm showing off PrivaNote, my attempt at a modern day note taking application. A few highlights:
- offline first
- end-to-end encrypted sync
- open source (https://github.com/portabellainc/privanote)
- installable as a browser extension (Chrome and FireFox) that overrides your new tab page.
Personally I'm always in the...

Love a few things about this site:
- the sleek design
- the emphasis on votes being reset every week
- maker is very active in builder community.
All the best with sign ups!
Hessel has additionally made the analytics for this site public (https://plausible.io/fifty.weekendprojects.xyz?period=7d), I'd recommend people take a look to see the kind of traffic a Product Hunt launch generates.

Hey Product Hunt!
For my last side project of the year I decided to build a much needed piece of infrastructure for the Celo (https://celo.org) blockchain ecosystem, an event subscription service.
We have an HTTP API so you can easily register events from your system and support custom ABI parsing so you can receive decoded events.

Hey Product Hunt!
In the spirit of moving fast and launching, I built "Just Launched" in two days. As a maker myself I struggle to find places to launch, and having launched a few things on Product Hunt I've struggled to get enough upvotes for visibility.
I'm hoping this provides a platform for makers that gives undivided attention to their products!

Portabella is a privacy friendly project management platform. We support a rich kanban experience, calendar support for longer term planning and a timeline (Gantt chart) view. Core data in Portabella is end-to-end encrypted and we have no third party trackers.

Hi Product Hunt, thanks for checking out Portabella!
To be brief, Portabella is different from other project management software in that your core data is end-to-end encrypted and we contain no third party trackers. We are shocked every day how much data is bought and sold about consumers, and we believe that most companies don't actually need access to your data to provide a good product....

How to X with Y is a community sourced collection of copyable code snippets. Every once in a while as developers we forget how to do something small like:
- reversing an array in Go
- making a JSON POST in TypeScript
How to X with Y is here to help.

What's up Product Hunt!
I had an idea last week for a copy/paste focused code Q/A site. Here it is!
As a developer myself working in many languages I often know exactly what I want to do, but I can't remember the snippet to do it. How to X with Y has been built to scratch my own itch and provide easily copy/paste code snippets in a variety of languages.

I'm a little confused by this, you can just download the fonts from google and host them on your own CDN. To me that's just a normal part of hosting a website.
For Portabella (portabella.io) privacy is my top concern so obviously I can't send every user who visits to Google so I just host them myself.
What am I missing?

I've been working on Portabella (https://portabella.io) for the past few months. It's an end-to-end encrypted alternative to tools like Trello/Asana/Jira/ClickUp/Linear/etc. It has been a real labour of love so far, so if anyone has feedback I'd love to hear it.
My launch is unfortunately blocked on the US government giving me my tax ID, I've gone via Stripe Atlas to incorporate.

Hey everyone, I've been working on Portabella (https://portabella.io) - an end-to-end encrypted project management platform.
I'm _so close_ to launching here on Product Hunt, basically cleaning up functionality and improving the UX, I'm just blocked on a tax ID being issued so I can accept payments.
Would love to know what you think!

How is the JS bundle size for this?
In Portabella (https://portabella.io) I'm using Ably for realtime functionality, but the bundle size is huge for what I want, basic subscriptions and message sending. I looked into Pusher and PubNub but from what I could tell it was a similar story.

https://portabella.io is my attempt at a more privacy preserving a secure web. End-to-end encrypted project management, issue tracking, file sharing and more.
Everybody loves Trello/Asana/Jira/Clickup/Linear/Monday.com/Tara.ai/GitHub projects... so do I, I've used them every day as part of planning in teams throughout my career.
But why can't these tools be encrypted? Why do any of these...

Cool! Always great to see projects encouraging self sovereign data and taking back control.
What's the plan for users to do with their data once they have it?
I used to work at Datawallet (https://datawallet.com) and well now they've pivoted to compliance, we had a chrome's extension which would handle getting your data from various sources (fb, google, linkedin) and then expose it under a...

Hey everyone, I'm looking to launch Portabella (https://portabella.io) in the next couple of weeks. The elevator pitch is end-to-end encrypted Trello, but I'm quickly finding that their feature set is very limited so I should position myself as a competitor to Asana or Jira.
There's a few rough edges to it but I'd love any feedback!
