Reality check will save you time and money
Hey! I'm deep in the solopreneur journey, currently working on my project feedrika.com, a pay-as-you-go news service API. Here are some key lessons I've learned so far, that maybe will help other builders like me.
Not all products are created equal. Just because there's a need doesn't mean people will pay for your solution. My unique selling point with Feedrika is no subscription, just buy...

You've got 24 hours in a day, so try to stick to a max of 7 hours of work. Trust me, I've done the whole 12-13-14 hour grind, and it just leaves you feeling isolated. At first, overworking might make you feel like you're getting a lot done, but after a while, it takes over your life. If you're aiming to be an entrepreneur, overworking will actually mess you up. You'll lose touch with reality...

Money it's important until a specific level, if you work for 1k a month, and you receive a raise to match 3k, the motivational boos is real. If you already have 10k monthly from a business (not necessary your business), if you raise to 15k, the motivational boost is not the same, will last just a few days after you receive the paycheck. So basically my answer is "it depends"
What matters more to you? Money or purpose of work?

Week in Review: Focusing on Product Development at Feedrika
Following the trend of building in public, I wrote an article complete with images that showcase how things are progressing at Feedrika, the news REST API service.
In this piece, I dive into recent developments, the fact that I've been focusing more on the product and less on the marketing. It's an honest and detailed snapshot of my journey, offering inspiration for anyone interested in...

The Importance of Tutorials and Usage Guides
I start from the idea that to understand that the true power of any tool you need to show to the customer what you can do with it. That’s why for feedrika.com, I started offering comprehensive tutorials and usage guides. Here’s why this is crucial:
1. Smooth Onboarding:
Detailed tutorials help new users understand how to integrate and use the API effectively, ensuring a smooth start without...

I prefer to plan my day not my week. Create super draft idea of what you want to do this week, and then day by day, reiterate and refocus
Do you plan your week on Sunday night or do you prefer to dive into it on Monday morning?

It depends, if you're a solo coder, removing every distraction is key. If you're working in a team, probably good communication and good documentation are the most important rules, at the root, the problem is the same, you need to be focused to do stuff

I'm here since Monday, so not really an experienced user. What I've seen until now can be summarized in 2 ways:
- Non english speaker using AI to create better comments
- People that comment with AI only to not lose the badge of the day
In any case, at least for me it's AI but I didn't see anything really spammy
How do you deal with the insane amount of spam/AI-generated comments here?

Standalone VM from Hetzner, Linode or similars. My logic is pretty simple, invest in learn how to deploy and manage a server (is cheaper than you think) and you'll know how to take advantage of a $5 vps and buy when you need it, without relying on a specific provider
what are the best hosting methods to scale your applications from MVP to a high-traffic solution?

In my opinion the truth about a great CRM is the ability to stick to company policy and flows. No code can help this, but if a product doesn't have flexibility in mind, even no code is useless inside a container
What CRM trend do you think will have the biggest impact in the next 5 years?

In the weekends and during the nights if needed, I'm trying building as much as I can, knowing that maybe 1% of what I develop will bring me money
Do you work on side projects or hustle on the weekends?

How you would approach Cold Emails for an API SaaS?
Hello everyone, I'm developing feedrika.com, a news API service for everyone.
I'm planning to send targeted cold emails and messages to potential users on X, so my question is, how to do this without wasting anyone's time or coming across as spammy?

Probably the only way hashtags will help you is to appear in trending topics is to make social content that links your product from that specific trending topic.
If your job is to make pizza, and trending is #ai, post a pizza image generated by AI, and you will use the #AI hashtag
As an example, you have a project management tool that you want to sell and the trending topic is #security....
Do you think using hashtags on social media posts works to increase the reach of content?
