I started this about 2 years ago but never had time to actually make any meaningful headway on it. Due to being laid off because of Corvid-19 I finally had the time to dedicate a few weeks to it.

I was a designer for 10 years and frontend dev for 14 years. In an ideal scenario a designer would know a bit about code and a developer would be a little handy with design. IMO the best path if you dont have that is for dev and design to do a quick run though 1 on 1. This might only take 5 mins or it might take all day - depends on how detailed the changes are. If its a value proposition issue you should work on messaging before anything else. Code and design wont mean much if you're not conveying what your value is.

Friends and family on facebook. Create a Facebook page for your product and ask your friends and family to share. Depending on your friends list it could go either way but its free.

I've never had even the slightest result with reddit ads. I've probably spend about $2800 over the course of a few months and absolutely no results. Their reporting was atrocious too. Granted, that was about 2 years ago so it might be changed by now but be wary.
