I meditate for 10 minutes in the morning before starting anything. It warms up the "focus" muscles of the mind helping me concentrate on whats important throughout the day.

We are building a network of package receiving lockboxes to protect and organize peoples home deliveries.
We have learned that building a physical product adds many interesting challenges to a project.

What is it that makes Product Hunt valuable to you?
Things that I have gotten from PH are
-looking at other peoples projects inspires new ideas.
-The community gives thoughtful feedback on discussions and projects.
-I have started using many tools recommended by the PH community.
I would love to hear what you guys get out of PH?

The Cold Start Problem by Andrew Chen talks about this issue. He calls it Flintstoning and shows how it is a critical part of most successful startups. The alternative is to build out complex automated processes before you know something is useful, which runs a high risk of wasting recourses.

I imagine this is because many people don’t need law help very often, but when they do there are large consequences and it is worth paying for an expert.
Fintech is the opposite, people use money many times a day and rarely would any issues with the transaction pose large consequences.
Also, accounting is pretty well suited to be done with computers. Law has a lot of interpretation,...

Excellent idea, team building is more challenging with remote work and tools like this are needed. I can’t wait to see what other mixers you have coming out.

My team is fully remote and located all over the us. Once a week we use Gather https://app.gather.town/app for our end of week video meeting. I have found having the meeting around the roof top fire, makes things more relaxed.
What activities do you do as a team to remain engaged and connected remotely?

I recently finished a book called "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. My number one takeaway was that you can reduce stress and improve efficiency by build processes that remove the need to remember. Stress can be caused by keeping too many tasks stored in memory, making you always wonder what you are forgetting and requiring you to continually think about work tasks when your not working...

Last mile delivery has many issues, quality of life for the carriers, in and outside of cities is a very real problem and just the beginning.
I imagine this is a big motivator for getting droid / drone delivery systems working. It could solve all the problems you just mentioned. However, the industry is moving much slower than expected for obvious reasons.

Should you be open or secretive about your startup?
I was apart of a startup where the CEO was extremely paranoid about secrecy. Along with many other problems the company had, I believe this helped lead the company to failure for a couple reasons.
-When you can’t openly talk about your company it is hard to build any type of following or community.
-If you don’t trust people, they are not going to trust you.
-We had to build out the...

My fist company was a motivational website encouraging people to post experiences of kindness. It was called I Am Awesome and generated money form T-shirt and other swag sales. The idea come to me ofter a stretch of traveling where I was amazed with the kindness I received from strangers. In the end it was not a financial success, but it did lay the groundwork for my future projects to be...

Hard to answer, depend on the readers mindset. Some have been quite handy as long as you read them with the intent of taking action. If reading to read, these books do little for you.

Hey Misha, Excellent idea. Two big goals for your company this week:
-get the companies website to a point where we can start getting feedback on style and content.
-Get our survey posted and get responses.
Come Friday I'll let you know how it's going.
Share your goals for this week!
