Apparently Product Hunt now decides who will be featured?
I've launched on Product Hunt a few times now, and I saw a post on LinkedIn recently from someone claiming that Product Hunt pre-selects the products that will be picked as "Featured" before the launch even happens. Product launch: should you launch during holiday season?
Hi everyone! We tried to do a quick analysis of whether holiday season (end of December) is still a good time to launch your product by analyzing upvotes for both all and top 3 posts of each day in '22,'21,'20, and '19.
Key insights:
- The week before Christmas gets noticeably fewer upvotes for the top 3 than the week before, but you can still get a steady 400-500 upvotes during that period
