About
I've been working in applied or academic Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning for about 25 years on everything from computer vision and robotics to genomics and operations research (optimization etc). Lately I've been working in engineering data-science consulting, creating predictive and analytical solutions to asset management (e.g. water, road networks), infrastructure operations (e.g. rail). The questions asked by my clients drove me towards causality - the science of cause and effect. I now think causal thinking deserves to be far more widespread. So I've started building software to help people benefit from causal techniques, without needing to be a data scientist / statistician and python or R developer. Meanwhile, I'm still consulting in engineering data science.
