Seems like PH and the 'indie hacker' scene at large does not serve traditional industrial needs. I think this is a shame, and a missed opportunity.

What category does my product go under?
I'm planning to launch an app for the oil and gas sector to help simulate heating equipment. It's classic trad engineering. Where on the site does this go?

So far I only make products that I personally want to use. The benefit of that is the insight from being a true user. The bad thing is that once you get very used to your product, you take a lot for granted that a new user might find confusing.
Also, if one of my products has the potential for a lot of inputs and tweaking from the user, I just spot them "default values," clearly marked, so...
How do you ensure your product remains user-centric throughout its development?🤔

I was blown away by your launch. I knew you were new to the game, and I don’t see how it could have been much better. Surely as Trangram develops you will launch more.
I’m going to launch an app soon, but I cannot expect much as it has a very narrow focus. Main thing is to practice launching so that I can be solid for my bigger project which will release in 25.
I learned how naive I was after my first launch. What about you?

I picked LLMs. Like Wikipedia before, these are a **starting point** for research. I use them to get real sources.
Is Wikipedia still a source number one when it comes to information or... ?

@derek_liu_dev Badass man. It's clear you've put some serious work into this. I'm a user, and I'm following you, so I will continue to keep tabs on Trangram.

This is very relevant to my interests. I do wish you had a simple page up that I could play with instead of a Git to install.

Cool series of tools. I signed up and tried. It's definitely more in-depth than I expected. It might be nice with some prepackaged logo animation sequences, where all you have to do is upload the logo and click the transform you want.

Cool app. I will try. I also have though of a feature or app like this that would allow people to connect if they want to learn a language with a native speaker. Basically if you teach you get some credits, and you can spend those credits, or currency, to speak to a native speaker of a language you want to learn. But your app is a solid way to get moving!

For me it's always the too many emails in a short time. My favorite newsletter, that I read without fail and have even taken the time to compliment the makers, is called "2-Minute Tuesday." It's from a gym I use. Twice a month or so, and just a few paragraphs of straight to the point text from authorities in the field.

I would actually launch the product. I made an iOS app several years ago and knew nothing at all about marketing, so I just tried the old "if you build it they will come" trick, which of course did not work.
If you could go back, what would you do differently in your product launch?

I will have to try the product. I'm sure many solopreneurs could make good use of this to expand their team's capabilities without hiring. Congrats!

That is a really interesting project. Any chance I can take a look? Such a project would never occur to me... I'm more autistic than artistic. ;)

Karl, I'm currently doing market research on a product that would enable homeowners to immediately price check their utilities against the local competition, as well as ensure they don't forget any major tax or filing deadlines. Not sure if that would qualify as a social impact... but the intent is to keep big companies from screwing the consumer, which they are very good at doing.
Is anyone here working on social impact projects?
