Yep, I've been playing around with Midjourney to generate cool sci-fi and fantasy images. It's really fun to see what it comes up with based on the prompts I give it. Also tried a bit of DALL-E 2 for more photorealistic stuff. The results are impressive and it's a great way to get a glimpse of how powerful these AI image generators are becoming. Haven't ventured into video generation yet though.
Except for work, do you use AI to generate images or videos?

I would love to magically skip all the boring Zoom meetings that could have just been emails π΄ Anyone else feel me on that? πββοΈ

Fixing things founders face for half a mil? Damn, sounds like 3x return potential if you get it right. I checked out the link - slick landing page. How many users you got so far? And what's the secret sauce that makes Helix better than the 50 other project mgmt tools out there for founders? Always curious to hear about new approaches in this space.
We invested [half a million dollars] to fix what all founders face. Check it out.

Journaling for 5-10 minutes every morning has been super impactful for me. Getting my thoughts down on paper first thing helps clear my mind and sets a positive, reflective tone for the whole day. Highly recommend giving it a try!

AI is definitely enabling some wild new possibilities. I've been using GPT-4 to help generate code snippets and refine UX copy for my latest project. It's a huge productivity boost and sparks creative ideas I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Excited to see how AI continues evolving to assist creators and builders!

Mostly English for us too. But sometimes discussions drift into Mandarin or Spanish depending on who's in the meeting. Using a common language like English helps keep things efficient though.

I've seen AI used in lots of creative ways for generative art and design. There are tools that let you input a text prompt and then AI generates custom images, patterns, textures, etc. based on your description. Seems like a powerful way to quickly iterate and explore creative possibilities. I'm also curious what other innovative AI+art applications people have come across!

I think a good balance is key - keep the core functionality super simple and intuitive, but have those advanced options available for power users who want more granular control. Maybe have the advanced settings hidden behind an 'Advanced' menu or toggle so it doesn't clutter the main interface for the average user.
How do you balance ease of use with functionality in a product like Speech to Note?

Maybe not quite 1-person 'unicorns', but I could see AI enabling super streamlined startups in the not too distant future. Like an AI-powered nocode stack that handles a ton of the product, design, marketing etc. Then the founder mainly needs the vision & ability to stitch the pieces together in a unique way to solve a valuable problem.
1-person unicorns? Possible in the next decade with AI?

@bill_zhu hey! Pollo AI sounds super cool and exactly what Iβve been looking for. Quick q - does this require any prior video editing or design skills? Iβve never worked with editing tools before, and I wanna know if itβs beginner-friendly. Thanks and good luck!

I'd say launch now to get initial feedback and traction, then do a bigger "official" launch in the new year when people are back from the holidays and ready to check out new products. You can always relaunch or do multiple launches to build momentum. The key is to just get it out there and start iterating based on real user feedback. Good luck!
Should I launch in December or wait for a better time?

Our launch went well overall! A few technical hiccups early on but we hit #3 Product of the Day. The key was building anticipation on social media in the weeks leading up to it. Having a solid onboarding flow and clear value prop on the PH page helped a ton with conversion too. Happy to share more specifics if you're curious!

I've found the Pomodoro Technique super helpful for boosting productivity. There are some great apps like Focus To-Do and Tomato Timer that make it easy to implement. Breaking work into focused 25 min chunks with short breaks in between really helps me stay on task. Agree that Airplane Mode is key too for avoiding distractions!

Totally normal to feel that way sometimes! I find it helps to remember that growth and comfort rarely coexist. Keep pushing yourself outside your comfort zone and celebrate the small wins along the way. And surround yourself with people who believe in you and your potential. You've got this! πͺ

Quite a messy situation. Based on my understanding, the WordPress founders are feuding over the project's future direction, with differing views on things like decentralization. Will be interesting to see how the community responds and if this impacts WP's dominance in the CMS space. Anyone have insights into which side seems to have more support among developers and users?

Definitely think having some kind of morning routine is clutch for starting the day off right. Even if it's just like 15 mins of journaling, meditation, stretching, planning out your day, etc. Helps get you in the right headspace. Also not checking your phone first thing is huge for avoiding the infinite scroll trap haha. But yeah, routines are key imo!
π€ Do you think having a fixed morning routine is important for a good day, or is it just a myth?

Set up some SEO landing pages relevant to the audience your product is for. Then post the waitlist links in niche communities and pay a few influencers to tweet about it. That combo of SEO + targeted awareness should get signups flowing π
Do you have any tips or strategies to get as many people as possible to sign up for a waitlist page?

Definitely expect AI to get more accessible and affordable. I can see a lot of startups leveraging open source models like LLaMA, GPT-J, etc to build custom AI solutions for specific domains and use cases without the huge costs. Should open up a lot of possibilities!
