Calling all partygoers! What features would you love in a nightlife app?
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Giancarlo, one of the makers behind Clubly, a nightlife app that we’re building to make joining and managing guestlists easier for everyone.
In our university (and party) years, my Co-Founder and I noticed that guestlists are often messy and we spent more time waiting in line at the club than inside the club. Recently, we spent 2 hours in line for 2 hours of partying!...

Thinking long-term, placing #1 on launch would definitely be the better choice. Sure you can guarantee 30 people paying $X - and that would be the easy choice for some. But if you can convince 300+ upvoters to get on a free plan, if your product is good enough, I'm sure you can convince more than 10% to upgrade to a paid plan pretty quickly..
Be #1 on launch day or get 30 paying users right away?

Congratulations on the re-launch! I'm a new user and setting up my profile today took ~20 minutes. That screams great user experience. Cheers!

I'm not a fan that there isn't any transparent pricing page on your website until you actually sign up. Nonetheless, I will try out the free version for now and have no problem paying for a great product if needed!

I received a message on LinkedIn from a PM at Remento saying that they were going for Product of the Week. Did not reply. Received a follow-up on Friday asking if I upvoted, again did not reply. Received another message yesterday asking if I could upvote. Have not replied to any message.

I've noticed that notifications from posts aren't really working. I'll get push notifications from the app, but they will not appear as notifications on the PH site. Are you having the same issue?
Why can't I see my replies? What is the reason? Does anyone know how to solve this?

I've recently started incorporating mindfulness exercises into my day. I start the day with some meditation, have a meditation session after my post-work workout, and end my night with meditation. Today, I woke up with more energy than I have felt in a long time with no change in anything else.
What's one way you're adding positivity to your day today?

Still working towards our launch. Our public beta launch is going to be in June 2025, assuming no major hiccups! So can't quite share a launch story. I'm still figuring out how to craft ours!

Stripe, full stop. It has everything you need, even with no-code solutions that will do the trick for most. If you do have some technical suave, then everything can be automated with the tiniest amount of work.

Truthfully, I think I have fallen into the trap of justifying some laziness because of the ease generative AI has given. For example, a task that would typically take some problem solving can be completed in mere minutes with the help AI tools.
Probably a pro for productivity but overall a negative for personal growth.. Still trying to find the balance of it all!

How far in advance of your actual launch did you start preparing for your launch here on Product Hunt? What other marketing channels are you taking advantage of now that you've had a successful launch?

The one app I consistently come back to whenever I have a free moment these days has been Pokemon TCGP. It's a fun, low-stress, game to collect virtual trading cards and battle them. It might be my nostalgia that keeps me coming back every day, though!
What apps are you addicted to right now? and why :) ?

Roast My Landing Page: Clubly 🚀
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
We're just 6 months away (hopefully 🤞🏼) from launching Clubly, a platform designed to connect partygoers with nightlife venues in their city and help nightclubs streamline their guestlist management.
Right now, we're busy connecting with clubs in Toronto to start building partnerships while our development team is working away at the app. In the meantime, I'd love to get...

During the warmer months, yes! Absolutely a great idea. But these days, up here in Canada, there is barely any sun and it can get well below freezing. A quick walk, however, isn't out of the question.

Don’t launch your waitlist too early, especially if you are brand new to the market. Most likely if I join the waitlist for a new product I’ve never heard of today, and receive an email in a year saying it’s time to sign up, I won’t. You need to make sure that you can keep the hype going from the time a user joins to the time your product launches.
How do you ensure that users who join the waitlist become real users?

My co-founder and I are validating our product by reaching out to potential customers and pitching the product as if it was already out there. This way, we're getting feedback from customers right away and can change direction if the product isn't getting the traction we want.
Worst case, they hate the product and we can pivot before we get too deep into development.
Best case, they LOVE it...
How do you validate your business idea?
