Do you know a tool to create customer facing analytics for our SaaS?
Hey, I'm founding a B2B startup we're currently integrating customer facing analytics into our product, e.g. where our customers can see the performance of our tool. Ideally I want to be able to track analytics events with a single line of code (from our customer's websites) and run queries against the data set with the second line (from our customer dashboards).
What I found so far (but...

Hey @stefferino thanks for hunting this!
I built this some time ago during my studies - I found myself often distracted by Instagram during lectures or when I wanted to learn but missed that the other app blocking apps I saw didn't allow for any scheduled usage time. So I came up with this idea and coded it during the lectures (instead of browsing instagram haha 😅).
Also nice to see that some...

Depends on your technology stack I guess 🤔 e.g. for serverless development we use staging and versioning so that things don't get messed up on our public API's while developing new stuff and to prevent breaking legacy dependencies while still being able to hot-fix something.
How do you run projects in production?

Became increasingly important when as we try to bootstrap our company and also important when talking to possible investors. We noticed also that, at least in our case, we needed some attempts until we found a proper financial model. So basically we iterated several times over it.
📊 Do you have a financial model for your business/project?

As former student and founder of a startup focused on students, I learned that students don't really have much money and are not willing to pay any subscription fee in times where you get Spotify for 5€ per month (and most of the students I know don't even buy it because they think they should save money). I think this is not true for all students, but you really need to provide clear value out...

Music to get into the flow
Hey Makers 🛠😼 I almost always listen to music when coding and it really helps me to blend out everything else and get into the flow. I'm sure many of you do the same and know some good tracks or mixes; I thought it would be cool to exchange some :)
Maybe lets just start the comments with the genre so that we can keep an overview🕵️♀️

I think if people cannot see why they should sign up, they will churn more likely. Either you can make a good promise (and keep it) or they may test it previously by getting free access. If you can provide content without signup and reserve some features that really add up value (e.g. read offline etc) for signed up users, you can reduce your funnel length and increase thrust. Theoretically,...

Which apps do you know with a logo that already communicates what the app stands for?
Hey, I'm currently designing our new logo. I aim to create something that displays what we stand for and also communicates our nam. I found it quite challenging to combine both. Do you know of any good examples? Basically I want people to associate our app, our story and our name directly with our logo and branding.

Agree with all the other comments - focus on what is really needed for your case and get feedback as early as possible with minimum upfront effort. Just make sure it provides some kind of value (I'm personally a fan of SLC as MVP: Small, lovable and complete). took the survey, curious if this would work though.. Just a thing I stumbled upon: For me, written agreements are very serious and may have severe consequences; I don't know if people will "value" a verbal agreement as much as a written one. If I got you right, it's intended to be more like a verbal contract, right?
Would you use an app that lets you document and digitally sign verbally agreements?

Well at the first impression it looks pretty clean; especially the first screen (just the headline, video and trial button). But when I scroll down I get distracted by a lot of things at the same time: You have a lot go gifs; my eye is attracted to everything that moves when I'm looking at an otherwise static page. As there is everywhere something moving I don't know where you want me to look...

Yeah we also experienced this callenge. Currently, in a small team we do this:
1) We have a dashboard at Amplitude that was tailored to compress the most important metrics, anyone depending on these metrics has access to that and is required to check that every few days.
2) We created broadcast slack channels for each subdivision (customer development, product development, financing, ..) where...

Most of the time I use an app whenever it gives me any kind of value back. Value may be in form of enlightenment or joy, e.g. when it entertains me or is somehow funny. Usually I stick only couple of days to these kind of apps.
Even more important to me is that the app can provide value over and over again; for example by supporting my daily tasks(Todo list), personal development(habits or...
