I learned adobe premiere to create promo videos for our app all through video tutorials. There is so much available and being able to create quick videos as needed is a really helpful skill when launching a new product.

What are your thoughts on working with a marketing agency?
We are considering working with an agency to elevate our product launch strategy and I am wondering if anyone in the PH community has experience doing this. Did you feel it was worth the investment?

Hi Calum, I am working on https://lingolegend.com, a mobil game for language learners! We are planning to launch within the next 2 months. Wondering about how a product like a mobile game will fair on product hunt. It's not the typical type of product you see here.

This is a great question and it was helpful to see other answers. At Lingo Legend, we are constantly trying new things. We have a framework for the types of content we want to talk about, with a few key buckets we focus on. We are also trying to engage in relevant conversations in the space. I learned that's possible. Physically and mentally draining and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but it can be done. It was the most difficult work experience I have been through but after getting through it I...

What has been your most memorable "learning moment" in your career?
Working in the start-up space, I am constantly learning. However, there are some realizations or discoveries that I feel hit me like a ton of bricks and are more substantial and permanent than others. I had a realization a few weeks ago that I was not going to be able to market our product successfully across every single channel. I have heard this many times before and always knew it to be...

I am a big believer in trying to enjoy what you do as much as possible, whether that is work or education. It makes up such a big part of your life that doing something all day that isn't interesting or you don't feel motivated is such a waste. Find somewhere you love the people you work with, your values are aligned with their values, and have something specific you are working towards.

Specifically for social media, it's getting started. I have read, heard, and can see the benefit of having a personal social brand to connect with users but as someone who hasn't posted something on social media personally in a long time... it's hard to rip the bandaid off and start!
