Yes, but only amounts I can afford to potentially lose. Exciting times and it will be a roller coaster ride.

We're all programmed a little differently! My partner (he happily admits) cannot multi-task. Changing up something freaks him out, as he has to focus on one thing and then move to the next. I'm the complete opposite, where I can switch things up fairly easily. I have had year's of experience managing events, schedules and campaigns, and things almost certainly never go to plan, which just...

Hi Robin, I'm certain there are many maker parents on Product Hunt, so you're not alone. I would breakdown all the hours you have in a typical day and evaluate how much potential downtime you have that you could channel into your start-up. Possibly after the kids are asleep; on the weekends when they have dedicated activities; outsourcing some chores ... if you're passionate enough about...

Let's hope so! Definitely support having more flexibility. I've worked remotely for years and manage to balance the work | life part without getting too distracted. Other people I know find it really hard working remotely - they enjoy the commute into work and physical human interaction an office environment provides. I'm sure there's a lot of psychology behind it with many factors at play...

Start the week of (after getting the kids to school) with some exercise to get the heart pumping! I use Monday mornings to plan out my week, goals, meetings etc. Hopefully what you're working on is something that does motivate you, so your Monday blues can be quickly dispelled! If you really hate what you're doing... look for something else or at least an outlet to spark your creativity.

Mostly to like or acknowledge something, but more recently I've been using them to provide a bit more emphasis to something I'm trying to convey.

NB. one bit of feedback I did receive from our own user community was that they found the choice of options to log into PH prohibitive. eg. if they were to log in using their Twitter account, they would have to then "give up" a lot of their personal data which they weren't willing to. Not sure if anyone has had that feedback? Some remarked having an option of just logging in via an email login...

How much prep did you put in before launching on Product Hunt?
We launched on Product Hunt today and it was fairly stressful to be perfectly honest. We started preparing about three months in advance, and took on a lot of the advice from the Product Hunt Launch Guide (as well as a ton of other articles) and basically turned this into a check-list of "things to do" before the launch.
Would love to hear how much time and effort you put into your launch and...
We simplify encryption for developers. Encryption is hard to get right and easy to get wrong, thatβs why we built Ubiq, an entirely API-based SaaS platform that enables developers to build encryption directly into their applications with a few lines of code.

Where Can We Find Upcoming Product Hunt Meet-Ups? And Where Have PH Mentors Gone?
OK, I'm asking two questions... but thought it would be more efficient :-)
Does anyone know whether there is a list of PH meet-ups available? I attended a terrific Sydney-based PH meet-up yesterday (that I found on meetup.com) but interested to know where others are being hosted around the world.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but have PH mentors disappeared? I was planning to book some...

I've had some success finding freelancers on Fiverr, but it does take some time to look through their reviews & portfolios, create a shortlist and connect with them to discuss your requirements to ensure they understand your brief etc. What kind of freelancers are you looking for?
