Just started the free trial and I'm blown away by the beautiful onboarding process and thoughtful design. I also put in a feature request via the help (nested lists) and have already got a friendly reply! So excited to keep going with it, and love your principles around data ethics & privacy 🥰

Nathan Pyle who does the Strange Planet comics does a bunch of amusing tweets/polls with emojis. Examples:

Also, love the way that Wordle harnessed emojis to allow users to easily share their results in an iconic, recognisable, platform-agnostic way - therefore creating virality!

This is fascinating. I just tried searching `india heat waves` and was very impressed with the results. I also really love the summarised highlights, score details, as well as the source bias. Also love your `Under-reported` section! Will definitely be making this a part of my search toolbox.

+1 to @vivekkatial's answer. I think it's critical to talk about the systemic causes of bias, racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination, so that as a company, we can create system-level change in our organisation, domain, and industry as a whole. We don't shy away from topics like anti-racism, decolonisation, indigenous data principles - these are all professional topics that will 100%...

On the note of net worth - what's the benefit to tracking this?
I have a budget for income & expenses, and to me, I just see net worth as a product of that (basically thinking "as long as I control my income/expenses, the savings and therefore net worth will follow"). And investment feels like something I have little control over (the market's gonna do what the market's gonna do, no point...

Wow, this is super interesting! I tried using YNAB, but dropped off for some reason... the manual reconcilement process was fine (kinda satisfying tbh) but dunno why it didn't work for me.
GSheet makes sense, and I've seen people use it effectively, but they're all people who have honed their personalised spreadsheet for like 10 years and it's super intimidating to know where to start. Do you...

Hmm, for some reason I have an urge to fill in all the boxes, so I tend to complete my profile. But, because of this self-imposed high barrier to setup, I sometimes end up just not signing up to things because I don't want to feel the urge to complete my profile 😅

This is a really small thing, but at the end of each week, we wrap up with a quick 15 min session called "GLUTE", which stands for good, learnt, ugly, thankful, excited. We take 2 mins to think about what was good/a new learning/bad/thankful about the week just been, and what we're excited about in the coming week or weekend, and then share. I always found it really nice to a) hear how others...

We have a lot of fun channels on Slack, which I've found to be a nice way to share slices of life that you don't get as much in a remote team! Things like #random, #current-events, #pets-and-babies etc.

I've been travelling around while working for the past 1.5 years, and I found it somewhat worse than WFH in one place for cabin fever. Because we often picked quite remote, rural places (because we like the outdoors etc.) where community is often hard to find. Even if we're in a beautiful place, I'm still working 40+ hours a week, so just tapping away at an AirBnB could get really grim...

Love this! Our team tried Thursday last week for our end of week virtual team bonding session, and we had a lot of fun! These conversation starters sound like a great framework for donut chats :)

Overall, I think the problem statement needs to be clearer. The problem that this product solves is the pain of having to do finance-related functions in a bunch of different places (payments in banks, keeping track of bills in emails/CRM/etc., cash flows & budgets in spreadsheets).
My first impression from the hero image & text is, "Oh so this will basically mean no more spreadsheets,...

Slack, Gmail, both Google Meet and Zoom (it's an eternal battle...). We use Slack Connect for external communication as well - a single channel with our customers so that they can reach us quickly with feedback! (We're very early stage)

One tiny nitpick: I totally read it as "Repost Timeline" and thought "why would I want a timeline of reposts?" 😅 Maybe some casing might help break that up, e.g. "ReposTimeline"?

Such a simple and effective idea. I love that the URL is easily sharable (e.g. https://repostimeline.nazifbara.com/username-here), great for people who want to link it on their portfolios or CVs!

Dang, such a neat project! I wonder if the maker (pengan1987 on Github) knows that they've been featured on here. Pretty impressive commit history, I'd be curious to know if they're open to PRs for things like translations.
