Hey there. Full disclosure: I've been diagonosed with ADHD repeatedly (when I'm overseas it's a bit hard to get medicated when doctors don't speak the same language). And the effects of the medication I take versus what happens when I'm unable to obtain the medication - a very common problem in the US thanks to rampant DEA agents acting like doctors under the color or law and limiting...

The subscription model for alternatives like justwatch or reelgood are, afaik due to the fact that they license the official data and aggregate them (and also, have native apps for Apple TV and Android and the web and even Tizen if anyone still uses it). They have free tiers, and Trakt, Plex, and Kodi are all to varying degrees on the same mixed model.
Mostly, the odd thing about this app is...

Absolutely not legal unless you are cool with not having attorney-client privilege available in an adversarial setting. If you happen to live in a jurisdiction that does not have said privilege to begin with or an adversarial system (or somewhere with no rule of law period, for that matter), then feel free to disregard. But if you are in a jurisdiction that does, then the privilege is almost...

Is mentioning Wechat/Alipay too low as far as low hanging fruit goes? It's hard to get more "super app" than those in pretty much any conceivable way. The caveat of course is that everything that enables the duopoly to have such market share and widespread use can be traced back to authoritarianism and the lack of private property, consumer credit, or the rule of law. So, they exist in spite of...

Hey, even though you guys are clearly still pretty early in terms of adding features I signed up for a paid sub anyway since I think there's a fair bit of potential here, mostly in the gap between the tools that are focused on simplicity so much that you can't even add much of your own code and a full featured IDE. Not that I think you should aim to make it only for that beginner+ market, but...

What's a weekend?
For reals though, it's actually liberating to not have set schedules, bosses, or customers to worry about, at the expense of not having anyone but myself to blame if the code I wrote is bad and can only attributed to my own lack of due diligence or incompetence. After working in a customer-facing, highly technical, underpaid and literally thankless job out of idealism only...

In all fairness, since alcohol withdrawals have physical symptoms, thanks to the GABAgeric nature of ethanol and the voluminous scientific research on what withdrawal may cause, including seizures and a host of, generously speaking, terrible effects not dissimilar to benzodiazepine withdrawal, it would surely be a good idea to at least have some sort of disclaimer in the case where someone...

I am probably in the minority at this point but... for the small percentage of us who hunt products that for whatever reason are very useful or cool that we didn't make ourselves, the platform feels more and more created not for discovery but for self-promotion almost exclusively. Self-promotion isn't a bad thing, since if you can't promote your own product it says a lot about the readiness of...

It just occurred to me that somehow this site was never hunted even though it has been around for a bit and it's likely that in some manner, by virtue of reading news sites, you've even unknowingly seen what the site has to offer, or at least a slice of it. Whenever there's a lawsuit, or an arrest, or a court decision of note, journalists frequently directly link to PDFs hosted by the site. And...

I always knew, but not until fairly recently, that I get a lot more work done with Football Manager open. After all, I recorded 6,000 hours of it played on Steam while I was in law school. And I had an internship in addition to school. The game is really zen for me and really keeps me focused, unless I suddenly see both of my keepers injured in the same game and my Sheffield United is about to...

That's interesting, for reals. I'm gonna have to dust off my jailbroken iPhone 8 that's still on iOS 13 and load it up hoping it would run. I am curious about a few things that is probably in the app somewhere but perhaps belong in the FAQ section:
a) To determine how much you won, you need odds, obviously. There are many sportsbooks and the most prominent ones don't simply copy from other...

I've tried quite hard to meet and hang out with some ghosts. My college was purportedly haunted af and I tried my best to jam myself into nooks and crannies late at night and managed to see jack squat. Although, it's also possible that I saw a ghost but did not realize it, as popular depictions of ghosts in mainstream western society is pretty different from the conceptualization I was raised...

I don't really have any views on the merits of banning him because banning is just part of internet participation and has been since the beginning. I believe that the Constitution of the United States makes it abundantly clear, as Supreme Court precedent does as well, that the state's ability to use state power to constrain speech of private individuals is something that is almost never...

I don't uh, understand what segment of the EVM-chain user demographic your product targets, since there are multiple companies that offer RPC access to more chains at the same starting price of zero (and sometimes, the only plan available is the free plan) like infura, quiknode, nownode, chainstack, alchemy, zmok.io (which surely wins an award for trying to upsell frontrunning openly without...

First things first, to be clear, my previous, "I-went-to-school-for-this" office job was practicing law, first criminal defense and then immigration defense. My side hustle, at first at least, was betting on sports.
Basically, immigration defense became a total kafkaesque joke when the government stopped following their own rules that they themselves made and interpreted. I had a lot of...

I worked retail at a clothing shop in Century City, Los Angeles. It was terribly ran and after doing some math and realized that I wasn't going to be able to afford the parking (no employee parking passes), food, and rent just to work 12 hour shifts since they were also understaffed, I quit and they never actually paid me.
Then I graduated into the middle of the recession and managed to get...
