I think a lot of people think that word of mouth is a small start-up tactic, but really it is the most powerful marketing technique that will benefit you at any stage in your business. At first, it can be a great way to onboard people, but as you grow it then becomes a great source of credibility. That being said, you shouldn't just hope that people will recommend you. Don't be passive/ afraid...

If you love your job then sometimes it can feel less like work and more like a full-time hobby that pays. That being said I think it's best to maintain outside leisure activities or join new ones. Don't be afraid to take on something new regardless of age or talent. Homelife can obviously overcomplicate that though, but if possible I would plan to give yourself 2 hours a week, to read, walk...

We have found the phrase "Don't ask, don't get" is the best to stick by. Sometimes it's most effective to just ask people straight up. We tend to video call our clients weekly so being able to directly ask long term or former customers isn't too difficult. Though I would recommend aiming for video testimonials than the written word alone. Whilst it's harder to obtain, watching a person speak...

As a marketer, a lot of the clients that I work with do not follow up with leads. My advice to anyone running a business would be to not fall into that trap. Particularly in B2B sales, companies/people are busy and people won't always respond the first time. Do not be afraid to follow up.
What advise would you give to your younger self to be better makers/entrepreneurs?

Use the end of one week to plan out the next. I find that if you go in each day knowing exactly what you need to do and when you want it done, you will become much more productive. It's all about setting time aside to think ahead!

It's a bit like being thrown back to university again. No teachers or parents to make you get on with it, you have to discipline yourself. Some people struggle and need the traditional work environment, some people are happy to get on with it in their own space. Different people will thrive in different environments.
That being said, I think institution's like schools, universities & jobs...

Video reviews in my opinion are the best testimonials to have. Unfortunately, they are also the hardest to get. A lot of clients (former and current) are happy to type their thoughts, but to film them requires more time and becomes much more intimate.
Unlike text reviews, video testimony creates the impression of human contact between the viewer and reviewer. That connection creates far more...

Depending on what product/ service you offer will depend on the difficulty of providing accessibility and what stage it is introduced. In my position as a marketer, steps can be taken to cater the process to each client and their needs. Of course, to get clients that require accessibility, our own marketing must be accessible. From the start of online profile building, we have created all of...

I would say the right demand completely dictates what the 'right time' is. Which of course will change with different audiences and different motivators. If your clients are in a position where they need a community platform then it can be as early as day one, if you need to warm them up to a customer community it can be a much longer process.

Too many CTA's and landing pages etc. I have to be really sold on a product/service to jump through hoops to get it. If the process of getting the service isn't streamlined or efficient, I will take it as an indicator that the service will perform in a similar way.

For me, it was determining exactly what my audience wants to see to achieve better engagement. Some social media posts/ Ads still surprise me. It's a great indicator to never assume you know your audience better than themselves & consistently test what works best.

I would say around three times a week for a product is a good middle ground to start. But the best thing to do is test this. Everyone's audience is different, and what might be too much for one company might be perfect for another. It also really depends on the format you are using. Reels on Instagram, for example, are great for reach and interaction, whereas single posts/Carousels on LinkedIn...

🚀 Increasing Sign Ups With The Ultimate Free Demo / Free Trial Form 🔥
We've been working on paid ad campaigns with B2B SaaS companies for a while now, and I believe we've found the optimal layout for a Free Demo / Free Trial form.
After all, what's the point in testing various layouts wasting months and money when you can just get handed the cheat code.

I don't write one daily but there is a go to Mantra I use. It's a more broad mindset thing it's called Ho'oponopono. And goes 'I'm sorry, forgive me, I love you, Thank you'.
Sounds a bit strange, but read into it, it's quite interesting!

The Journey From Failing Marketing To 🚀 Growth [5 Simple Steps]
I recently posted this to LinkedIn, and it was moderately well-received, so I wanted to share it here.
These are 5 points I implemented in my own business (not SaaS), but we have since rolled out for B2B SaaS clients and it has worked for them too.
If you have anything to add (things you've found yourself through testing or have learned elsewhere), please feel free to share. Would love to...

🙄 It Wouldn't Work When Dating. But INSIST On Using It For Marketing 👍🏼
Hey all, this is another post I put out on LinkedIn about a week ago which people found interesting. Essentially it's creating similarities between dating faux pas. Things you wouldn't do (well... some of you might 😬) but seem to be standard practice for poor marketing.
Again, fairly simple points but trust me when I say they are INSANELY common.
