For outbound prospecting to get buying customers:
Email Marketing: Apollo
Linkedin Marketing: Dripify
Have 3 outbound email marketing campaigns focused on the following:
1. Pain points your buyer is experiencing, and how your product/service will save them time and money (need to insert real ROI points) -- this should be sent to your ideal users.
2. Target job titles who are the decision...

Mine was LinkedIn connection requests to my ideal customers -- but most of my clients get their users from both outbound cold email and LinkedIn requests/messages

Definitely really great storytelling in your posts -- I'd also look at ways to automate outbound LinkedIn connections/messages to reach out to other ProductHunt-type business owners who would likely support you, then eventually pivot to your ideal customers.

My favorite so far for sales has been Apollo: AI for writing emails, automated email sequences, and data scraping for verified emails

Totally agree! Would also be helpful if we could search up people by interests as well, and then be able to create public groups.

From a sales perspective: specified messaging (i.e. waiting lists for a free trial, addressing common pain points they have, thought-provoking subject lines, etc...) AND targeting prospects who are already in the buying cycle, creates the best conversion.
From a marketing perspective: strong storytelling either from a founder's perspective or a user's perspective that addresses the main pain...

Dripify is a great SaaS tool to engage with your ideal customers on LinkedIn and book an introductory meeting to your product. Make sure your initial messages are short and sound personal at first, if they engage then ask if they need support in what your product/service does.

Hot Topic: Let's Discuss All Things Sales
I don't see a designated category for sales here, which is the lifeline for products to become successful after the initial launch on PH, so let's use this thread to discuss. Here are some questions to get us started, feel free to answer some of these or discuss your own experience:
How are you running your sales?
What is your sales strategy 6 mo from now? 12 mo?
What have been your biggest...

I think it depends on the situation. If you're a start-up that is in the middle of raising or needs to hit KPI targets quickly, then Sales Led makes more sense. You'll need to be able to scale and hire skilled salespeople who can simplify the buying process and quickly close to meet deadlines. This is difficult to do if you are lean, but the payback is huge if done correctly.
If you just...

Personally for me, I like engaging with founder posts more than company posts. If your content is personal, compelling, thought-provoking and insightful that revolves around growing your business and showcases it's value, you'll see more engagement and grow an audience that eventually turn into leads.
Company posts are great for learning more about product features, product roadmap, exciting...

Right now I am using it to create and automate thought-provoking and insightful LinkedIn posts as a Founder. Creating copy usually consumes most of my time -- this allows a more efficient way to engage my audience and create another lead-generation channel.

As a founder: anything super tedious and requires a lot of detail -- P&L sheets, reporting, highly technical and complex copy, taxes
As a human: identifying, prioritizing, and focusing on tasks that will provide me the greatest ROI on my time

Yes all the time, we do this for our clients daily. Great way to get large, qualified, and ready-to-buy leads into your pipeline quickly.
We'll run about 3-4 cold outbound email marketing campaigns to their ideal customer profiles -- some of our clients see 4 qualified enterprise deals per week. The key here is to have VERY specified messaging (i.e. waiting lists for a free trial, addressing...
