Hi Max, I have found the Y Combinator co-founder matching tool very useful. You set up a profile and search and filter profiles by certain preferences. I've also tried Coffee Space, which is a newer app for finding co-founders.

Yes I think it serves its purpose of being able to connect with others in your industry. I'm in the legal industry where people are much more buttoned up. I've noticed that with the exception of a few "influencers" people mostly use it to post announcements. Personally I find it incredibly useful to search people's professional backgrounds and to message people in my field.
