About

I'm 58 and I lift. Two years ago I came back after a long layoff and found that every training app was built for someone else — cheerful about handing me behind-the-neck presses and adding 10 lb a week to a movement my shoulder had opinions about. Liftspan is the one I wanted: every movement graded for joint and lower-back risk, progression that moves the weight for you, and a plan that reshapes itself for a hotel room, a home garage, or a full gym without starting over. Currently in open beta at liftspan.fit. Happy to talk to anyone training in their 40s, 50s or 60s about what their apps get wrong — that's most of what I learn from.

Liftspan - Strength training that knows you're not 25

A strength app that grades every movement for joint and lower-back risk, moves the weight for you, and reshapes the session when you say "shoulder's cranky and I slept badly." Six training environments. Works offline. Free tier, no ads.
