I have tested this system on orchids, it wont work, Orchid roots do not attach to a constantly wet surface. Also it increases the chance of root rot. In their photo they clearly tied a flowering plant to the vessel. I also tested this system for growing microgreens. Most seeds fall off before germination and if you use mucilaginous seeds, grey mold grows on the roots not long after...
