Hey Ian, great question. I use a multitude of apps that help me to stay focused/organized. I use Momentum to plan out my week, Asana for a closer look at tasks within each day, and Pomofocus.io to help with focusing on those tasks.

Getting a break before - to ground myself and recenter and prepare for the meeting. Before, I like to make sure I have everything already with me, like water and snacks plus a notebook for notes. During I make sure to be comfortable so I may toss on some super comfy socks or slippers, I'll take as many notes as makes sense, and with my company we have highlights to capture our takeaways from...

A separate room for the office - it helps my brain separate work from home. Also, music, candles, a fuzzy blanket and socks or slippers. Being comfortable at work directly equates to my ability to get things done!
What is one thing you can't live without when working from home? Apart from your laptop, of course!

Solid question Mary Clare. Like Nicole, as a Mom, I find that my TEA (time, energy, and attention) is limited. So I have to be selective about where it is going. For me, boundaries look like my phone being on DND most of the day, shifting social time to the weekends, and taking breaks during work to check in with my son or shift focus. I am very fortunate to be able to WFH as it is much easier...

Excellent question! I make sure to keep my phone on DND and in the other room. I also make sure to mute notifications on Slack and even exit out of Slack entirely. There is a timer app that I use to stay focused for short increments of times and allow myself space and time to take mental breathers if necessary.
