When naming my games, I heavily focus on capturing the main themes from those games. In the case of Unscripted, I wanted to capture the fact that the experience of submitting a game to a prestigious arcade and hoping it will get accepted isn't really scriptable; personal experiences may vary. For The Costumemaster, I wanted to capture the main mechanic in the game: switching between...

Hi, everyone!
I love stickers, especially those for iMessage and other messaging platforms. They're a really unique and interesting way to express yourself beyond text and emojis.
I made Unstickered, a sticker pack for iMessage, Telegram, and the Mac, as a way to let everyone express themselves with their favorite characters from Unscripted like Meredith, Katorin, and Zen'no. I'm super...

Although I'm not able to have as much social interaction with peers due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I put measures in place to make sure that I can always reach them. I have a small Discord server for me and my friends where we chat with each other on a multitude of things. Every week, we meet up at night to have a game night and chat on Discord.
Since I'm an indie game dev (and software...

Such an amazing app with a responsive team and constant improvements. The latest update (1.0.18 at time of writing) brought breakout rooms and updated Zoom, and it's a blast using it for attending classes.

For anything personal, I prefer using Mastodon (https://joinmastodon.org). For anything marketing-related, I use Twitter.

I've found social media marketing to be the most effective for my products since I'm making indie games, but I think you'll want to pick a model based on what kind of product you're making and what works best for you.

I haven't used Product Hunt for long enough to comment on the features, but I hope talking about my experience with it so far can suffice. Overall, working with Product Hunt has been great, and I'm glad that people are taking interest in some of the work I'm doing through this platform.
My only criticism for the platform as of right now isn't even really related with the platform, but more so...

I'm personally on the fence in this regard. I usually do a lot of marketing within Discord servers, Twitter, and Reddit but handle other tasks such as sales in Steamworks and Itch.io. I know Itch has some marketing tools like devlogs, but I usually prefer to just post it on my own website at https://unscriptedvn.dev.
While it would be nice to have everything in the same place since I'm usually...

One thing that's helped me in particular is using kanban boards to organize and keep track of the tasks I need to do. GitHub comes with a solution for this built-in via Projects, and it ties in really well with issues and milestones.

I'm also in agreement with some of the people here: visual is pretty effective since people get to see your product in action. I've noticed this as I post development updates and marketing imagery for Unscripted; the posts with images tend to get more traction.

I typically follow a schedule when I check social media casually, and it's typically just Reddit and/or Mastodon. I also use tools like the Flow app (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/flow-845ea1c4-e6c3-4f5c-8160-03d48b6f3a3d) to help space things out. Otherwise, I only really use Twitter specifically for marketing/developer updates, so that's helped a bunch there. I also use Mastodon for...

Hi there!
I remember the pure excitement, gratification and joy I had when I first published an app to the Mac App Store. It's a really interesting experience that when you look at it, you can't stop smiling because you're feeling good about how much you accomplished.
I wanted to recreate that feeling and recall that process of getting there in a format that I'm well familiar with: a visual...
