I use IntelliJ daily and will sometimes hop on VS Code for some projects. The startup I work for builds developer tools and has plugins for the popular IDE's and many other applications!

Working on https://pieces.app in the developer tools space and we have to really be super particular in how we build since our customers are developers themselves. They are the best users to have because they will let you know if things are not good enough and really lets us iterate our products very quickly.

I honestly think that it all starts at UX.
If you understand the ins and outs of UX and start building with UX in mind from day 1, you're product will be lightyears ahead of those who have to go back and refactor their entire product because it has a terrible UX.
