Tips for increasing email response rate
Hi everyone,
My name is Jason and I'm the co-founder of AirSnap (https://www.airsnap.io/). I've been cold-emailing people about our product and offering our service for free in exchange for feedback. The open rate is generally pretty good, but it's very difficult to get a response.
What are some of the tips for increasing email response rate? Thanks!

This is exciting Goutham and congrats on the launch. I love the fact you discovered this problem through talking to makers after successful building a community for them. Conversion can be a real pain and the social proof can be very powerful in getting people across the finish line!

I was also confused about how to sign up. I'd recommend redesigning the sign-up experience to make it more prominent.

Interesting approach to validate the product idea by launching with simply a landing page for each one. I will have to say waitlist and PH upvotes can sometimes be a bit deceiving, but it's a great way to at least filter out/eliminate the ones that don't stand out as much. And also give you an opportunity to potentially find a list of potential users you can speak to.

Depending on the space you're in. But realistically speaking, any idea you can think of nowadays, there's probably an app for it already.
You don't have to be original or be the first to come up with the idea, it's all about building something that's better than the existing solutions out there.
Aren't you scared that building in public will lead to intellectual property theft?

There are many creators on Twitter that have thousands of followers. Every time they launch something, a simple and quick tweet drop will get them a pretty good headstart.
How come some projects launch with 40+ votes already?

Hi Goutham, I recently started building in public here https://twitter.com/panixjason.
I decided to try it out because first of all, I do enjoy sharing our progress and wanted to get more people excited about our product as we get closer to our launch. Second of all, I've heard people attracting more users/customers to their platform through this strategy which creates more transparency and...

Recently started build in public
My co-founder and I have been working on AirSnap (https://www.airsnap.io) since July, I recently learned about the #buildinpublic & #openstartup movement so started trying it out here https://twitter.com/panixjason. So far I've made a few posts and haven't gained much traction, but I enjoy sharing our progress and I believe the investment will be worth it in the long run.
